Not a dude for one and your not tromping on "family toes", only tromping on your own tongue. Are you idiots going to continue this forum for four years? I think it is sad that all people want better for this city but write the things you write. If you think things are so bad why don't you do something about it? Stop typing your uneducated comments! You make yourself sound as if you lost the election personally? Poor thing.

There is simple solution to your problem. If you don't like the comments people are typing, ignore the comments and start you own discussion. No one has a rifle to your head making you read what is typed.

You are right! But what is typed should be legitimate. I do understand your frustration you poor souls. Maybe someday you will be able to accept defeat and move on. Until then...continue with your support group on this forum.

I have tried to start a forum and a bunch of a**es got on there and started doing the bad mouthing.

I too was at the game and never heard any booing. Couldn't really hear what Urban was saying, but didn't hear any booing.

I didn't hear any boos where I was sitting, but some friends who sat in a different section said people around them were booing. When he gave the COMMAND for everyone to stop and be quiet, I could not believe it. People, including a lot of teens and pre-teens came to the game to have FUN, not listen to the mayor. Those of us who wanted to hear him honor Matt could hear just fine without him trying to get total quiet.

Definitely uneducated!! First of all- review The Amendments. The fourth amendment refers to search and seizure. The first amendement refers to free speech.
As far as the "news worthy account about the media mongrel mayor", I can only imagine the overtime paid to the news examiner employee who had to edit your article.
Mr. Dex, are you realizing people are tired of your crap?!! Get over your loss, move on and support YOUR MAYOR!!!

I became acquainted with this site just last week and I can tell you I AM DONE. I have never been to a forum with so much whining and moaning. For God's sake people, GROW UP. There are some exceptions, but for the most part this forum is monopolized by people who seem bitter and jealous and expect the government to "fix" everything for you. Let me guess... DEMOCRATS, right?
Damn the government on one hand and expect everything from it on the other.

Olivia,
I'm totally with you on this. A town with a 40 year old problem - yes, that is when the Industrial Age was officially over - expecting the new mayor (within 4 weeks!) to have changed all of that and move them directly into prosperity. And what are they complaining about? The way a friggin' parking lot has been designated and who has the right to park there. I used to think the problem was a lack of education but I now realize that is a secondary problem to ignorance...not as in stupid but as in "ignoring the real problems and bringing everything and everyone down to the lowest common denominator." They should be on their knees thankful for every manufacturing job that has come to this town in the last 20 years! Do they think they are so skilled at factory work that they were chosen by manufacturing companies? NO, the elected and appointed officials worked their tails off to bring those jobs to town while other towns, just like Connersville, lost out. And how do they show their gratitude for the jobs? By belittling the very companies that give them jobs and put food on their tables. Talk about biting the hand that is feeding them!! It's time to think and act like responsible, mature people in offering solutions not the mob mentality that is showing up on these pages. But that would require honor, respect and consideration for others and there doesn't seem to be much of that left.
