The truth is, you can't handle the truth. Abortion is legal and will continue to be legal. And, the ultimate truth is that it's not mine or your business what a total stranger does with HER body. I prefer to mind my own and be pro-choice. The Creator will deal with each individual regardless of what our opinion is.....

They were a "chain of life". Chain of Laugh, IMO. People trying to force their opinions on everyone. Park Road is the last place they should've been allowed. Could've caused an accident by people long necking to see their "pro-life" signs. Preaching belongs in a church or a synagogue, not forced in your face on the street!!!
Well, this certainly is an enlightened post indeed! Do you not understand that in our free society, we are allowed to hold gatherings in support of our beliefs? Whether pro or con? Are you as appalled at pro choice gatherings? Are you against any such voice of opinion or just the one's you do not agree with? The people involved with the "chain of life" were exercising their right to freedom of speech, this in no way was forcing their belief's on anyone. They were not asking you to side with them, they merely stated what they believe, be happy our government as of today, has not mandated that all believe the same way...that would be tyranny!

<quoted text>Good Point! Glad to hear these responses. The signs maybe provoked thought among those who think they have the choice to end a life. Someone has to speak up for those little humans who don't have a choice. Why would any intelligent female with any morals not seek out ways to prevent pregnancy in the first place and not subject their bodies to the horror of an abortion. If you don't want children do what it takes to avoid creating a precious life inside you. Pro- lifers I did not see your signs but keep being the voice of those children lost to killing by abortion!
It is so easy to prevent pregnancy, and so sad to end an infant's life. Don't take it out on the baby because you decide to have gratifying sex, and become pregnant. It's not the baby's fault.

Is that why the people who participated in the occupy marches and protest were pepper sprayed and arrested???? Where is their freedom of speech??? Did you stand up for them or did you laugh and say that serves them right for acting like idiots and not for believing the way I do?

No matter which side of this debate I'm always curious as to motivation and intent. Not slamming anyone for how they feel and/or believe about this but I'd like to hear from some of those who took part. What did you hope to achieve by attending and being there? What is the hoped for outcome of putting your time into this? I'm not baiting or being snide and we all know it IS your right to do these things but why? Both sides seem to have such passion about this and I genuinely would like to better understand what outcome you are aiming for.

Murder...as practiced by the current medical laws promoted by our fearless leader Obama ie. killing an infant as they are born....should be everyones concern. You are probably one that would jail a person for killing a puppy but not a human...am I right?

Those who profess to love God, seem these days to forget that there is a separation of government and religion. But, to simplify, we must search our own souls and if we LOVE God and do as He instructs us, we must trust Him and not ourselves. He insists that we DO NOT KILL. Do we accept this above what we feel is right or do we trust Him that life is sacred, regardless of popular belief or government law?

The Creator creates life and the Creator ends life. It's up to Him. We must stand aside and trust Him for the answer.

Love. It's just that simple!

So if I observe someone killing another, I am to stand aside and let it happen because it is God's will...is that correct?

What, you are looking at a different scenario here. Of course, one cannot "stand aside" while a fellow person is being killed. Remember, giving your life for another is the greatest thing? I think you misunderstood.

Love. It's just that simple.

I still done follow your statement then. You are saying that God took the life of the birthing child in your statement.,

Forgive me, but I don't follow your statement, either. I'm saying that if God creates a life, by whatever means, it must not be our decision to deny it's life. Our Creator will determine that. We cannot let our 'free will' or governmental system determine (by law) whether a human being lives or dies.

I cannot, nor will not, enter into a debate on this. These are my thoughts and beliefs of the subject. Love is what I base all life on and so many of us totally ignore it's presence and power. Trust in the Creator and use your endless supply of love that He gave you.

Love. It's just that simple.

You don't need to beleive in god to have compassion and love for our fellow human beings.

No, I in no way condone the actions of the police that pepper sprayed those people at all! And as a matter of fact I did oppose the actions, those people had just as much right as anyone to gather in protest, I believe their rights were definitely violated. Whether I agree with or disagree with what a group may be saying they still are American citizens and they have the right to protest or support what ever cause they choose. This is supposed to be guaranteed by our constitution. To simply say I don't agree with those people on a particular issue so they should not be allowed to speak out or march in support of their cause is just not right. American's need to wake up and remember too much blood has been shed for our freedoms which include Religous beliefs and freedom of speech, we shouldn't be so quick to desire the government to step in and make laws against any of our freedoms!
