You have to sell the building to the people who will buy it. Hardees isnt nasty and you can get your crave in the freezer section of any store.

Great job Mr.Mayor.
Yet another tasteless burger joint for rednecks..
Hopefully they will come before 15th of June then all the rednecks lead by Willy can party there.
What a disgusting town.
One of the most stupid comments I have read on this forum besides the one where the guy was justifying a thief. ANY new business is good.

Hardee's is a franchise. White Castle is a privately held company and they have certain criteria for opening a location. Either population or being near a major interstate. Connersville doesn't have the population numbers or is there a major interstate here which makes them unacceptable for a White Castle. If you don't like Hardee's then don't go there.

Here we go. Another intersection blocked by hilljacks waiting for a four pound burger and a diet soda. Dumbazzes!

That intersection would be real dangerous.
Hardees is really not that great a chain.
They lost their business when they stopped serving chicken and have not recovered.
I would hardly call it a business coming to town...low paying jobs for teenagers...thats all.
I am surprised Arby has not closed yet and Wendys for sure would lose some of its business to Hardees. I would also like Burgers King to close its doors too...such a tasteless place.
Give these three places some time and hopefully they will be gone.

I didnt see Mc Donalds on your list of Burger Places that need to go and why would white castle be any different as far as a "business" do they pay high wages and employ only adults. The truth be known Dairy Queen has the best taste as far as a "chain" hamburger around here and I'm not really sure who I would pick second but it wouldnt be White Castle if they were here, those nasty little rubber burgers the only thing good about those is the bun.

You just don't get it. The opening of a fast food joint isn't exactly a plan on the road to economic recovery here. While I am certain it is exciting for some we have McD, Long John's, Arby's, Dairy Queen, Wendy's, Little Ceaser's, Pizza Hut, Subway, Quiznos, Pizza King, Pizza Place and more.

Every town this size has all that you mentioned so what is your point Chef Paul. A person in this town sold a has been property to a corporation to build new business soooooo that is more a good news than bad If I am thinking correctly. It isnt Microsoft or Apple coming to town but it is something that is going to replace a dead car dealership.

I never suggested White Castle.
But it would be nice if we had a nice restaurant in town where one could enjoy an evening out.
Mousie and Lousy rhyme perfectly....such a filthy place.
The only place to have a nice meal is 25 miles away :(

Are f*cking kidding me?! Are you f*cking kidding me?! This town is bad enough with all the empty buildings (K-mart, Marsh & old Wal-mart on Park Rd.) & trashy looking houses & you want to add to it with 3 more empty buildings!!! Like them or not their businesses making money & employing people.

I really wish the true "redneck and hilljack" thinkers like, Chef Paul, just curous, Mister Friendly, and the likes, would just pack up and leave this town. They know what's wrong with everything and everybody but don't offer any constructive ideas and don't contribute any positive energy to this community!

If all you see is negative then you're a part of the problem.

The thing that makes this town disgusting is scumbags like you.
You don't like it here? We don't want you here!! Get out of my town if you don't like it here,
you are the tasteless redneck.

traffic at the intersection of 5th and eastern is already dangerous, so is 30th and grand, but nobody seems to be doing anything about it, cars are in the road every day at mcdonalds.. will it take a bad accident to get something done up there. i hope they consider the traffic problems when they build the new entrances.

So if a person doesn't get all over-the-top about a hamburger place they are defined as a true, redneck thinker? Interesting. I suppose you are a progressive thinking. I could offer man constructive ideas but this thread is about Hardee's not reconstructing Connersville. Judge me clueless but I do not believe more miniumum wage jobs will have an impact on the economy here - just open the public up to a larger selection of fast food.

If you read thoroughly and not just focus on some agenda you think I am proporting I did say it would be a nice clean up of the building which has been an eyesore for years if not decades.

No I am not part of the problem because I acknowledge there is one. Again, your insight and knowledge is limited and finite. Good god, you're defending a premade hamburger as the answer for economic development.
