What year did Noel Hamilton graduate?

Where did he go to grade school?
Who were some of his close friends?

1966

They lived in the 2800 block of Indiana so my guess would be Grandview.

He was four years ahead of me in school so I have no idea who his close friends were.

His mother taught music in grade schools.

Why the sudden interest in someone who has been gone almost fifty years?

Why dole out all this personal information then ask 'why the sudden interest.....' I would find out why the person wants to know before offering anything personal. There are stalkers and such out there. I'm sure this deceased person has relatives the person who started this thread could have gone to for information. It strikes me as shady to come to this type of board and ask questions when there are other means available. I personally would never give out any personal info on here, be it the person being inquired about is dead or alive.

I mentioned stalkers, as it's obvious a person cannot stalk the deceased, but the first comment wants to know 'who were his close friends.' Only saying because we can NEVER BE TOO CAREFUL.

Whoever ‘HNR’ is, has started two threads asking about Noel Hamilton, this one, and another a day or two previously.
The first, http://www.topix.com/forum/city/connersville-... asked how and when he passed away.

Noel’s father recently passed away. When I read HNR’s first post, my thought was that he/she may have been someone who knew Noel during his school years, moved before graduation, moved back at some later date, and, before reading his father’s obit, was unaware that Noel had died .
With the passage of time, I could see no reason (still can’t) to not give what little details I could remember after almost half a century. Others who were probably closer to Noel’s age chimed in with further details.

These details apparently were not enough, because HNR then asked when the accident happened and what grade school Noel attended. When nobody answered promptly, instead of bumping up the existing thread, HNR simply started a new one. The one we are on now.

The only information I have shared that could not be found pretty quickly in public records by anyone with rudimentary investigating skills and reasoning ability is that Noel’s mother taught music. But it is a “secret” that is held by the thousand or so kids who she taught over the years.

When I first got on the ’net’ fifteen or so years ago I was able to track down most of my second grade class for a plaque that was presented to our teacher when she retired.
Before that, I was able to track down at least one member from eight different crews assigned to a specific bomb squadron in a specific bomb group that had been in the 8th AF in England during WW II. The reason for that search was to get a copy of the crew picture for a website on the group.

The point, is that NOTHING has been mentioned in this thread that could not be acquired, with very little effort online, or at least by anyone willing to go to the local library and spend a half hour or so in the Indiana room.

And this is for HNR. If you want to know when Noel died simply Google his name and Connersville.

You do make some valid points. But due to the fact this is a board where many residents are prone to bash people and air the dirty laundry of others, I believe it's safe to say 'the less said the better.' If the person who started the threads asking for information on this deceased person possessed 'rudimentary investigative skills' then they should put those skills to use. They didn't, therefore I stick to my prior opinion of 'shady' intentions. As you and I both mentioned, there are ways people can find out the information they seek. Bringing it to this board reeks of bad taste. I can say the same for many topics people start. I don't want to be one to contribute any type of personal info without knowing the intentions of others. The bottom line is we can't be too careful.

I guess it's all in perception.
You see shady intentions.
I see the kid that sat at the back of the room.
The teacher states that water freezes at 32 degrees Fahrenheit and boils at 212 degrees Fahrenheit. When it reaches the boiling point it converts to steam.
At that point the kid raises his hand and asks how cold it has to get before water freezes.
Want proof?
Let’s look at another post by the same person asking for information about Noel’s sister that, I would agree, is inappropriate for a forum like this one.
http://www.topix.com/forum/city/connersville-...

To save you the trouble of checking the link, I’ll post the text since it is brief.

Whom did ElleClaerbout marry?
Do they have any children?

Reinforcing the thought that his questions stem from reading a recent obituary he knows the lady’s married name.(I wouldn’t have, even though I know her in-laws quite well) Reinforcing the thought that there is a problem processing information is the fact that the second part of the post,“Do they have any children?” is answered in the obituary. How many, names, and cities of residence.

I’m sure you have noticed what a popular pastime it is on this website to bash our current Mayor. Since the obit under discussion is from Urban Winkler, maybe someone (you?) can start bashing him for putting out personal information on the internet.
