We are now under a level 3 travel emergency. Which means emergency personnel only! Please everyone be careful and keep safe. Please remember the elderly and the handicap. Please call and check up on them.

Sorry they are calling it a Red Level!

Fayette Co. Weather Alert - 4 - White - Everything alright
3- Yellow - Bad weather starting
2 - Orange - Weather really bad
1 - RED = No one allowed on the roads

Sorry about that. At least, I got the emergency personnel correct. lol

We went through all this last year. Fayette county changed their system. Level 1 is now just an advisory and Level 3 is Emergency Personnel only. Here is a link that may help.

http://www.in.gov/ai/appfiles/dhs-countyMap/d...

We are on a Level 3 or Level Red (whichever way you want to look at it) The point being that only ER Personnel should be on roads and all you other Yayhoos need to be at home.

It's total BS either way. What did we all do before the nannies in the courthouse told us the roads were slick? Every time it snows the first flake, they start in with the level 1. I would think they would have more important things to worry about, like maybe actually clearing the roads and finding jobs for the county!

It is very bad out so don't go out unless you have to,medical emergency,Electricity out,no heat, things of that nature, let the tree trimmers and county and city employee's do their jobs to make it safe for us when we do dig out.

Its pretty bad when you try getting in your vehicle and all 4 doors are froze solid... And, De-Icer isnt even cutting into it... Plus with the 40+ mph winds just make it freeze back faster, was gonna try going to my store and try opening... But, that is definitely not going to happen today... I could always walk but I think i will pass on that idea... EVERYBODY PLEASE BE VERY CAUTIOUS IF YOU DO GO OUT... RADAR SHOWS THAT WE ARE GOING TO GET 3 INCHES OF SNOW OR SOMETHING ELSE ON TOP OF ALL OF THIS...

We moved down to a level 2 around noon. But with it now snowing really good where we live, it may change back. Or so I would think.
