Anyone else having really sloooooow internet tonight? I'm testing download speeds of less than 1Mbs, with about a 30% quality of service. This is both hardwired and wifi, after a router reboot, and using two different laptops.

The television and phone service seems just fine. Guess I'll be calling them tomorrow.

Interesting. I was thinking about changing to Cinergy Metronet. Guess I need to give it a bit more thought.

Yes! The Internet was very slow last night and today. Not as bad today as last night but still slower than normal.

As the evening went on it got better, and has been fine since this morning. Overall their service has been very reliable. That's why the slow speeds last night were so weird.

DO NOT go to Cinergy Metronet. I had their TV and internet for a month. We cancelled Comcast because it was getting too expensive. The month we had Cinergy the TV constantly froze and the voice went in and out all the time. When the internet completely went down, that was too much since my job consists of me being online all the time. And today, we have comcast back. Comcast really is the best, I found that out.

I am assuming you called Cinergy and had them come out and try to fix your problem? I've had no issues with them, other than an internet outage that lasted a few hours and was network wide for them, and the slow internet the other night. My TV and phone has been excellent.

I switched to Metronet from Comcast because it was cheaper! Wait until your introductory offer runs out.

I think all cable companies have their faults- new tecnology is always changing. From cell phones to cars to computers they all have growing pains. The main thisng here is "Customer Service" how do they treat you and what is the responce time when an issue arises. Life is too short to get fraustrated.

Had Cinergy for about 3 months, TV froze constantly, Internet was pretty fast, Customer Service is not really that good, one of their lines laid in my yard for almost 2 weeks before they came to repair it, needless to say we canceled the service, we have called several times since to try to get them to remove their box from the side of our house, its been about 4 months, the box is still there. Comcast is much more reliable. I would recommend checking with the BBB before changing providers.

Cinergy Metro is terrible. The tv constantly froze up and the picture did not fit the screen. We called to get them to come and fix the problem and the customer service rep. was very rude and not very helpful. They kept blaming the problem on the network but when we switched back to Comcast the channels were perfect and the HD channels were full screen. It was not the network it was Cinergy. I would never recommend them to anyone. As for the cost, well, we had the triple play and our bill was suppose to run 119.00 a month but it was never under 300. We only rented a couple movies in HD in the 5 or 6 months we had them so there was no reason for our bill to run that much. Anytime we called to ask about our bill being that high they would try to pull excuses out of their asses. At any rate, we have switched back to Comcast triple play with all of the premium channels and have had NO trouble at all. The picture quality is amazing and 100% better then Cinergy was. Our bill after tax and all was 143.79 which is exactly what it should be! This is my experience with the two. That doesn't mean everyone else has to have the same feelings about them so please don't jump on me for my experience with them.:)

I have had Cinergy for around 6 months now. No problem with the internet as it has been reliable and very fast. I did have problems with the TV channels freezing up but a serviceman came out and changed some cable ends coming into the house and that problem has went away. I have had Direct TV & Comcast as TV providers and Comcast & Verizon as internet providers since living in town. Here is my rundown as far as quality. Comcast had the best TV channels & Cinergy has had the best internet. As far as cost Direct TV & Verizon were the best...
