The Great Allegheny Passage trail generates $40 million a year in economic spending, and a preservation plan is intended to use historic preservation in six trail towns to harness that spending power.

I hope the people that live in those trail towns - including Confluence - come out to the meetings and take the time to find out what all is going on so that they can be in the forefront of the changes and hopefully take advantage of the money spent int he town by tourists instead of feeling left out of the loop. It may as well be the locals that make the money
