What the hell is bilateral mean? Please proof read your answer so the older people can see what you are trying to convey.
When I was young the town was decent and as your mind believes it is. It was not until I witnessed and even personally suffered wrong doing that I realized what a lousy area I chose to remain with deep regrets. There is no justice here. The taxes are high and the weather sucks. There is very little opportunity, except for what is glad handed to the people and family's of the local government. The area has been run into the ground.
To the other poster the Blue Sky has been long, long gone but some of the patrons are living in this area. Are you looking for someone from your past?
The mill does not grind the water that has already flowed through. You should make new friends and find a new spot to hang out at. I do remember the food down there.
I miss the old Felix Pizza. Never been a pizza like those since.

I was expecting Ashtabula to be more like Erie, PA. The city schools are very friendly and nice for the most part. However, the neighborhood we are in (near the Circle K on Bunker Hill)is not so nice. The people do as they please with no respect for neighbors or anyone else, and they let their very young children run throughout the neighborhood, causing all kinds of trouble. They take care of their pets, whether vicious or not, in the same manner. I am hoping there are better areas when we are ready to once again search for a new home. I was hoping this would be the home we would stay in until we were ready to buy a new house, but due to the neighborhood, we need to move once again.

I grew up in that area in the seventy's and now I would not walk down ANY of the Presidential streets or Main. I'm not joking. It has changed a lot and safety is a issue. I guess they are hiring armed guards. They will no doubt have their asses kicked and the gun stolen. They better walk in packs because one guy can't watch his own back.

One day we drove by the bank and saw a gang beating a women and even after they had her stuff they kept kicking her. It is not a safe area even with a camera. More like 8th in Erie. I think you should of bought on the Eastside or Jefferson. It is no trouble to rent out a house in that area. You might even pass a section eight rental inspection. That would get you out of the house because it would then be a income property.
