This country needs more people like Darryl Hood. Thank goodness he was there to protect her. Charles Altman needs to be charged with aggravated robbery AND attempted kidnapping. There were children in the car which he would have taken had he just gotten in and drove away. Who knows what else he would have done and they could possibly give him a prison sentence of only 10 years. Then what?

I live in Ashtabula are and know Julie and her family very well. Darryl Hood is a hero in the area and I just wish more people would be like Darryl. Darryl saved her life w/ out a doubt. he was going to stab her in front of her two beautiful children if Darryl wasn't there. I hope this isn't the last story I read about Darryl Hood. Follow up would be great.

Thank you Mr. Hood! We must all get more involved in helping one another, whatever the circumstances. These are perilous times and I believe we are "our brother's keeper".

Mr.Hood did his part now I hope a judge will do his part and not give him a light or suspended sentence. Throw the book at this jerk because i'm sure he scared this girl half to death. God bless you and your family Mr. Hood.

SIGHHH...why is there always ONE person who has to bring race into an issue? This was an awesome story about a man not thinking about himself...but thinking of protecting a woman he didn't even know. THAT'S what's important here...it wasn't a story about race...so why even bring that up? Seems to me the people that have a race issue, are the one's always bringing it up. I think Mr. Hood is a hero...and should be noted as such!!!
