I always wanted to hop a train and go out to The Chicken Ranch in Las Vegas, Nevada.
I'm no spring chicken myself so I hope I'm not all tired out by the time I get there.

Kids have always done this. What HAS changed is society's response to it all....

The advent of cell phones and 9/11 dispatch everywhere. Surveillance cameras. Big multi-national media corporations looking out for multi-national rail companies. Whereas train enthusiasts used to be able visit the local railroad yard and chat with friendly employees, the railroad is so off limits today with heightened surveillance because of those durn terrorists. Infractions that used to be local misdemeanors are quickly becoming a federal crimes because of the role of trains in interstate commerce. Zero tolerance.

The kids are the same.

Society is what sucks.

<<I find how CRAZY it is that it was OK thing to do 15 years ago, but now it's not. >>
It has never been "OK" to trespass on railroad property. If you're not working there, you do NOT belong there. Go play on the runway at O'Hare
<<Too right, they should be charged for all violations connected with the act that they committed.
All to often the railroads are blamed for accidents outside their control and found guilty when in fact they are the innocent party.
it seems to be a culture of blame the innocent and praise the guilty these days>>>
Agree on all three statements!

These kids are stupid and should stay away from the rails. If they would have just looked on the internet before they did this they would know that trains only stop every 8 hours for the crew to change (unless it sides for double stacks or HP trains to pass). This is why it is becoming more difficult for people like me to ride them. Stupid kids who know NOTHING about trains get on them and shit their pants and call 911. They deserved to fall of it and then they would have been made an example of.
