Since the park is a public trust, why not wipe out those unpaid taxes. Seems to me that if the park can't open, it can't pay the back taxes anyway. Why not get behind the park and work at trying to make it profitable?

Summit Township should be trying to help the park, instead of trying to drive nails into the coffin. Without the park, the area suffers.Things seem to have started to turn around, and now this! What's next?
$152,000 is alot of money, but not in the grand scheme of things. Wipe out the debt & let the park open & grow. There are some good people trying to make this happen. In the long run, the township will get there money back, and a historical amusement park will live on.

It would be hard to imagine Erie without Waldameer... and the same goes for Conneaut Lake without CLP!
Whomever buys it - I hope they have a GOOD plan to make it a great family park, again.

I always loved Conneaut park when I was a kid. It seems to me that it was old even then. Hate to see the old, nostalgic things go by the wayside....

if Conneaut Lake park can't make money then it time has passed sorry to say.
Sell the land and lets get it back on the tax roles. Better yet make it into something like Chautauqua.

They deserve to have the money for their own operations. The Park owes a lot of people a lot of money. These people have been patient enough. They do need to sell the park and get these creditors paid what is owed them.

I have read alot of stories about CLP and I believe that are things that we the public are being kept from regarding the actual problems with CLP. Maybe problems were started from people that know what family and memories are just how much money they spend or maybe the owners and boards in the past were like our auto makers...spending the money on themselves...being a person that has worked for over 10 years in local govt. I know that there alot of other situations that twps. let people out of owing...make sure you know exactly where your tax dollars are going before judging someone elses debt.
