Going by that photo I think they require drug and alcohol testing right now.

If it were about their christianist faith they would have been equally railing about those who covet unrepentantly.

It's about their sexual disorder of homophobia, imo, dressed up in xstain drag.

Educated people don't "tolerate" stupid, hypocritical, homophobic trash anymore than educated people "tolerate" the kkk.

Intolerance would be if we said these drug addict looking christianists could not marry, adopt, serve in the military.

No boys - your faith didn't cost you your shot at fame. What cost you was your big mouth(s).

Believe whatever you want folks but when you starting openly heaping hate on other people you can't expect there to NOT be repercussions.

Be faithful, happy, Christian family men. Nothing wrong with that. But when you start saying this group or that group of people are bad because they don't believe the same or act the same or live the same or whatever the same as you, well then people are going to object to you.

We have freedom of religion in this country - which means (in case ya'll haven't figured it out), we are not all REQUIRED to be Christian. We can be any religion we want - or, in fact, no religion at all.

These guys didn't lose their shot because they're "Christian" - they lost their shot because they're bigots. And we know this because there are lots of "Christians" who are NOT bigots.

I don't normally watch "Reality Shows" (a misnomer if ever I heard one), but I would have one question for these two........What has your religion to do with buying homes, fixing them up, and flipping them? So if you kept your mouth shut about your bigoted views, you'd probably be in production right now.

Usury and greed.

Although if they actually do renovate them before flipping then there's some actual labor involved, which is surely better than just flipping.

Isn't greed one of the Seven Deadlies? I know, dumb question where "christians" are concerned. The only sins for them are Being GlBT or a woman, or a black, or a Jew, or a Muslim, etc. Greed is most certainly not among them.

Nothing, and I don't think the show would have been about trashing homosexuals.
These men were discriminated against because of their religion.

No, religion had nothing to do with it. The interpretation of it did! Maybe extreme faux Christians need to learn what it is like to remain in the closet!

Being in the closet is a choice.

Nope. They were rejected due to business concerns. Most TV stations don't want a loud-mouthed bigot on their station anymore. If he had kept those opinions to himself he probably would have gone on with production. He exercised his Free Speech rights and is now dealing with the consequences. And that right of Free Speech was not abridged unlawfully, because only the government is prevented from abridging Free Speech. Now you know.

What they good "christian" boys, most of the other religionists, is that they're NOT being turned down because of their religious beliefs.

They're being turned down because they campaigned to harm and disadvantage people based on their own personal religious beliefs. Telling lies about people and trying to get their civil rights taken away because of YOUR personal religious beliefs is just not okay. That's not exercising your own freedom of religion--that's using your religion as a weapon against others. Jesus certainly would never have done that.

The great irony and hypocrisy here is that they claim to follow the teachings of a man who would *NEVER* condone harming people because they don't believe the "correct" version of religion. Jesus was VERY clear about the separation of church and state.

Remember "Give unto Ceasar that which is Caesar's. Give unto the Lord that which is the Lord's"?? What do people think that means??? It means "keep your religion in your church." It doesn't mean, "let's all get together and vote to make everyone else follow what WE believe."

That's what they did and that's why they're not going to have a show on HGTV. Maybe Fox News or one of the twenty or so God channels that I have to pay for on my cable TV will pick them up.

I like that show. Love to see how the punks act when the doors lock and the car goes dead. And then their stories when they're caught. "Thought it was my brother's car" "I was just moving it" "The owner said take it for a test ride" etc. Ah good times! I used to be a cop. I let them ramble on and then use everything they said against them. Sorta like Topix.

The network still doesn't have to hire people who are known for doing that.
Wondering wrote:

That would only be true if someone at the network said "Whoa, these guys are Christians? We can't have that". I don't think anyone said that. There would probably be very few shows ON, if that was their attitude.

Instead, the conversation probably went more like "Whoa, did you hear what these guys say about gay people? We can't have that". This has nothing to do with discriminating against their religion, because not all Christians have terrible things to say about gay people, and not all Christians are being dropped from their shows. The network is disassociating itself from those who like to demonize (literally) innocent citizens.

These guys are also anti-Islam. Their religion isn't the issue. Their divisive ideals are.

1. They were already hired.
2. It doesn't matter which religion, it's still about religion.
3. It's their religion and their beliefs. They were discriminated against.
4. See #3.
