Three area Borders book stores set to close
Borders is closing the rest of its nearly 400 book stores across the country, including two in Charlotte and one in Concord, which goes by Waldenbooks.

I will miss the bookstore. I loved to go browsing through the cool books. I found books on subjects I had never thought about reading up on. I found some new interests as a result. I much prefer a book in my hand than a Kindle or similar electronic gadget. Magazines and newspapers are disappearing. Now books. I'm not so sure that's a good thing.
