In Senate bid, Dahlberg's all in

There are 30 comments on the Lowell Sun story from Jun 12, 2010, titled In Senate bid, Dahlberg's all in. In it, Lowell Sun reports that:

Unseating an incumbent can be a laborious task. That's why Eric Dahlberg quit his day job to campaign full time for the 3rd Middlesex Senate District seat, which has been held by Lincoln Democrat Susan Fargo since 1996.

It's like a sad game of Where's Waldo. Where's Fargo?

Martinez is a joke. People know her enough to know that the disagree with most of what she says. People Power, Up with people, Freedom Fighters....Whah???

Sounds like we'll finally get some common sense representation with this guy. He has my vote.

I saw him holding his sign in chelmsford center at 6:15 in the morning the other day. I don't know where he gets the energy, but more power to him.

Here's my favorite Sandi Martinez email forward:
Dear Congressman Lynch,
I listened to you on the radio the other day taking a stand for citizens, rather than for more big government. I would ask you to stand up now, and prove to the citizens of the United States, the their President is indeed a natural born citizen. The truth needs to be known for him to have any credibility.
Thank you for your consideration to this matter.

He's been a terrible selectman, keeping quiet and not accomplishing anything. Laying low so he can run for senate with a clean slate. He's a joke and shame on anyone that votes for this guy. The Town of Chelmsford is worse off for having him serve. Thanks for nothing Eric, I will never support you again.

Yes, it seems like Chelmsford was just a stepping stone... way too quiet and now he has his eyes on a Senate run.

Of course he supports term limits. He won't be around long enough! He probably won't be half way through his first term as state senator before he's campaigning for the next tier up on the political food chain. He hasn't even been a selectman a full term and he's already off and running for state senate?? He's likely been plotting this plan the instant he was elected, if not before. Blows in, opens up shop, and will blow on out when he no longer needs the town as a resume builder, not that he's really done or had time to do anything anyway. The "aww shucks, politics should be a labor of love" act is completely transparent and total garbage. This guy has been an aspiring pol since he was a teenager. Check his bio and history. Unfortunately, this guy will succeed because of the current trend of voter backlash in trying to vote people OUT of office rather than voting him IN. Sam Chase is the perfect example. Change for the sake of change when the chips are down...nice way to build a legacy.

Sandi, stop having your Tea party people from Lowell post on here. You refuse to debate, you refuse to comment to the paper, but you have no problem trashing Eric anonymously in a forum. This is about lining your campaign account and has nothing to do with representing Chelmsford.

It's really easy to throw stones from the comfort of your computer. If you think he did a poor job as Selectman, then you run for the position. If you think that Susan Fargo represents your views, then work on her campaign. But for goodness sake, donít just kvetch about it online.

I have met all three candidates. I have had a few negative experiences with Sandi Martinez, but at least she is running for what she believes to be right.

It is obvious that Susan Fargo has not performed her duties to the district.(I know Iíd expect to be fired if I had missed 20% of my job this year and over 30% last year!)

The accusations that he has always wanted be in politics is true: He is very passionate and informed. I donít agree with his every stance, but I think that he will be a responsive leader.

Eric ain't perfect, but it is crystal-clear that he's the best candidate for the job. Sandi scares the hell out of people, and Susan is useless.

Go Eric---I've met him and his opponent in the primary---she pales when compared to him (and isn't this her third try anyway? She really should get the hint!). And, well, Fargo, that's a whole different story---This is the year for Republicans! VOTE Eric Dahlberg for state Senate!

Are we going to elect somebody with zero experience because he gets up early and holds his OWN SIGN up? Hello people, we already made a GIGANTIC mistake with our UN-EXPERIENCED PRESIDENT! Lets stop electing people because their a new face and supposedly have new ideas. Please, PLEASE!! Whats this new president done to CHANGE anything? NOTHING!!!! Electing this KID would just be another BAD MISTAKE.

Here's a little lesson about how the forum postings work here: just because it gives a location doesn't mean that's the actual place the poster is located. My location is given as "Lowell" because my Comcast service hub is located in Lowell even though my residence is in Chelmsford. Actually, the very CENTER of Chelmsford, so don't dismiss me as a competing campaign lackey.

I am from Chelmsford. Born, raised, STILL live and employed in town, so please, save it. I am an independent voter and have NOTHING to do with anyone's campaign. I am neither a liberal hack nor tea party yahoo. What I am is someone skeptical of a politician like this blowing into town, flying up the political ladder, and immediately grabbing for the next rung (state senate) when he's barely got a grasp of the rung he's holding onto now (not even a full 1st term selectman). I'd like him to slow down a bit, and maybe at least PRETEND he's a selectman for good reason and not as a quicky resume builder. I don't think that's too much to ask.

Another young person out of college that wants to be the president of the company instead of learning the ropes on the way up. Take your time Eric and get some lifes experience. Then I won't feel like your using my town for your benefit.

Dalghberg has done absolutely nothing as a Chelmsford selectman after running on a business agenda, and speaks in vaguaries here.
Has no policy agenda-just continuously brings up joining the state health plan, that's it.
Voted "no" on a DPW facility, "no" on a needed fire station, no on a simple meals tax w/h revenue going straight to the town, no on everything. No listening to his constituency, which wanted all 3, votes a straight anti-government ticket.

Talks in generalities, backed and helped by the state Republican machine, and runs from the Republican label. If he were independent , he would be unenrolled.

Hey, Eric. Want to impress us? How about growing a pair and look into the structure of a contract that year after year makes a highway department foreman second only to the superintendent of schools in income. WTF?

I support the candidate with the most experience, so "YES" the OLDER candidates that have "MANY YEARS OF EXPERIENCE." Not somebody that knows nothing, that's just "looking to learn on the job." We need a VETERAN not a ROOKIE!! Good enough answer for you KOOLAID? Somebody that's 40 or 50 years removed from drinking "Koolaid". Somebody that's been around the block more than a COUPLE TIMES!

Dullberg has proposed and done nothing as a selectman. Ran on a 6 point program and has accomplished not one. rarely speaks or proposes anything, no ideas. A reactionary Republican with nothing to offer, but " we can't do that", "now is not the time", "I can't vote for that".

Holding a sign and knocking on doors, shaking hands, pretending to be concerned, ain't gonna cut it around people that want results, not Republican stalling. Don't get conned.he's a flunky for corporate and business interests ,doing their work from the inside.
