If you are speeding you are breaking the law a take responsibility for your behavior. The law enforcment orginization are poorly funded and are left to rely on themselves to generate revenue.People this is there job the one you pay them to do! If your are speeding you are breaking the law! So quite griping and pay your fine.

If the speed trap is blatant and obvious why are you getting caught?

One day, my neice and I were driving east, and about 5 miles before Foristell, we saw this car fly up on my tail and then fly right past me. When she got in front of us, we saw that she had NO plates on her car car, temporary, or otherwise. We both laughed, because we knew that the Foristell 5-0 were gonna nail this chick. Sure enough...we were about 2 miles past "The Speed Trap", and there she was, pulled over.

Come on! Foristell has 350 people according to the last census and hasn't grown that much since then. They have 7 full-time police officers, and 8 part-time. They write well over 3,000 tickets per year with annual income of over $400,000. They find every reason in the book to pull people over, and according to many other law enforcement in the region, should NOT even be on the interstate! Don't buy that "saving lives" crap. It's ALL ABOUT THE MONEY fools.... Get a reality check. If it walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck...guest what? It's a duck. Their court practices are also suspect. They are giving Foristell a bad reputation over the years and businesses are afraid to put up shop there as well as people are afraid and reluctant to build or move there. Fact. Maybe good for short term money generation, but bad, bad, bad for future growth of a city that is just 3 miles west of one of the fastest growing communities in the U.S. Wentzville. Dumb, just plain dumb.

Now, we WOULD be fools, if we continued to drive at excessive speed through this stretch of road. But those of us (i.e. EVERYONE from this area) who know they are there don't speed through this area. If people would follow the posted speed limits, then there would be no revenue generated through this speed trap. So, who's REALLY at fault? And I don't buy that people would be reluctant to move somewhere due to a speed trap. Lots of people are moving to this area. It doesn't seem to bother them.

I welcome the speed traps!!! They save lives! Not only can these officers stop someone who is speeding with a nice fine, the get lucky sometimes and stop someone who is also driving under the influence. These officers are saving your lives and the people you love. WISE UP and quit complaining. Drive respectfully, and Don't drink and drive!~MADD Sis, brother killed by a drunk driver doing well over 60mph at impact in a 35mph zone. THAT'S why we have speed traps!!!!

Nobody will ever understand the need for speed enforcement ("speed traps", "entrapment", whatever you wanna call it) until they lose a loved one to a motor vehicle accident caused by speed. Then all of the sudden it's the police fault for not patrolling that area where the one at fault was speeding. It's pretty simple...if you don't want to get a ticket, SLOW DOWN and quit complaining!!!

Foristell - now that is a town that you obey every speed limit, law and still pray! I am a law abiding citizen and have lived within 10 miles of Foristell all my life. I have 3 children and believe in the laws those officers are paid to uphold. That being said, I do everything in my power to NOT drive thru that town. Those officers will pull you over for not stopping a full 5 seconds at the stop signs, driving 1 MPH over the speed limit, or even if they just don't like the way you look. I would NEVER open a business nor move any closer to that town. I understand they have to make money and protect the town, but I believe they are a bit extreme!

They want our money and will break any law to get it, including lieing about why they are issueing a ticket. Do those cops even have a high school education?

One obvious thing about the foristell police dept, is they all work very hard. The earn every dollar of their paycheck. The get alot of other things off the street besides speeding tickets. Would you rather live in a town with lazy cops who dont do anything? Only if your a criminal you would like that. Follow the rules and there is nothing to complain about. Good job foristell!

Come on, 15 cops for a town that has 350 people! Damn, if they want to save money, get rid of 13 of the cops. County cops can partol a town that small just as they do here in Beaufort , Mo., We have at least 350 people and no police force, but I see county and state police taking radar and driving by my house at least 2 or 3 times a day. A town that small doesnt even need a full time police department.

What the hell can they do to work so hard in a town that small besides give tickets to out of town drivers that might not have slowed down completly yet and might be doing 4 or 5 mph over the limit, which any other town gives you that much leeway. I work at an auto plant and I know for a fact that speedomoters can be off by 2 to 5 mph out of the factory. It's all just a money making scheme that keeps people from going into that town for any reason. You can believe that or not but it is true!
