Alright this is great news though. Now the teenagers won't have to speed across town to get their weekend party beer anyway.

What about Wal Mart? They were not welcomed into Torrance. That would have created a whole lot more jobs, and taxes. You'll welcome a store that fits your needs apparently.
Let's put a WalMart in RB!

I agree 100%! Sometimes the comments are funny and other times folks just get carried away. Life is too short for petty squabbles!!
I'll drink to that. Well, some one had to say it.

Some in here are like small school children arguing on the playground which neighborhood has most crime or less crime or which city is better and which is worse..as it turns out it's not the city but the people in them ...responsible people do not commit crimes and irresponsible pp do..we have gangs because parents of lack thereof fail to control their kids becuase they themselves are failures...it's a personal matter ...
NOw back to Wal Mart...yes they may have caused jobs to be lost in some areas...but that's free enterprise and this shouldn't be govt's duty to restrict or deny...if Wal Mart is more productive and can sell things cheaper then good they beat the competition...Wal Mart would have created a ton of jobs in Inglewood but the morons running that city said no...Torrance the same thing...if any company isn't breaking the law they should be allowed to be there..especially a company where they hire over 1000 ppl for a large one and create a wonderful tax base and ask a walmart employee who works there most love it ...that's free enterprise...and in the past that's been considered American...nowadays the govt as it turns more and more socialist and desires more and more control will ruin this system which was the best in the whole world...we need less govt and more independance and we will do much better economically...and socially..

Clearly some of you have never even been to a BevMo store. Calling them a Liquor store is the first clue. Go first and comment later! Every bottle sold there is subject to the purchaser proving that they are over 21. In my book there is nothing wrong with that. I have driven 30 miles to visit my nearest BevMo store when I lived in Fresno. Great service, the price is right and they always have someone that can answer any questions I have or ready to make suggestions. Welcome to my hood BevMO!

You are not allowed into the store unless you are over 21. They card everone under 35.

BEWARE OF PRICES - they do NOT honor what's advertised!!

The new Rolling Hills BEVMO store opened over this past weekend - with nowhere to park. When I called this morning, Tuesday, Oct. 27th at 11:20 a.m. to place an order for pick up, I was disconnected. When I called again, Jason passed me to Patrick, the Manager, who will not honor the price that was in the L.A. TImes Sunday 10/25/09. When I told him I have the paper in front of me and it specified the special is for a "limited time", he retorted with: "That's right ...it's for a "limited time" and it eneded after the weekend!"

I mean - this is Tuesday morning!

So much for good luck and good karma for a New Store. I have been a long-term client of BevMo and even know the staff and managers by name at the Torrance store. THIS is NOT good for business!!

Go back to Trader Joe's round the corner...

Well at least some businesses are still growing. May be a good time to buy stock in liquor distributors and manufacturers.
