Benicia officials move to change elections to even-numbered years
Hoping to save cash and raise voter turnout, the City Council has confirmed it will consider changing the date of municipal elections to even-numbered years.

as it says in the second paragraph, the current grifters can stay for an extra year, meaning pay, benefits, and retirement for another year for nothing, good job politicans taking care of yourselves at the taxpayers expence, move along nothing to see here
