The deputy, media, and newspaper report that this young man was witnessed by the deputy committing a robbery. Once the deputy got involved the young man ran. The deputy gave chase in his patrol vehicle. During this chase the deputy perceived he was reaching in his waistband for a weapon and fired the fatal shot that resulted in the young mans death.

Another article states that he was confronting the alleged victim over a debt. No one can be absolutely sure what took place until further investigation. It seems to be almost impossible for the public to refrain from casting judgment prior to all the facts being presented.
Remember the Brian Banks story Poly High Football player arrested for rape. Served a five year prison sentence, registered as a sex offender upon his release and unable to obtain gainful employment due to rape conviction. The victim befriends him on face book admits in a face to face meeting she is willing to get involved in his fight to clear his name. Willing to admit the rape did not occur if she would not be forced to pay back the 1.5 million settlement she received from the LBUSD. This young man has always stated heavy petting happened, but no rape. in addition no evidence to prove rape even after the rape examination.Victim gets paid and after finally telling the truth suffers no consequences for a lie that almost destroyed the Brian. story does not always have to be true!

1. Was he shot in the back?
2. Was a weapon recovered?
3. Is there a victim?
