She hasn't been charged?!?!? This is obscene! What happened to the concept of a measured response? Was her life ever threatened? Does she have any injuries? Is there any history of abuse? Is this officer still working? What a travesty of justice.

Hey Native, Each of those questions needs to be answered. Were you in the room? Do you know how measured was her response? How threatened she felt? How threatened an ordinary person would feel? What, if any injuries she had? LASO homicide is investigating and they will answer those and many more questions. As to whether or not she is still on duty or assigned home? That should have been answered by the Breeze, as should may of your questions - why are you assuming she is still at work? And, by the way, the this happened Saturday night and as of now it is 7:37 Monday morning - the District Attorney's office has not even opened since the death. Take a breath. It will all be OK. At this point it seems a bit more like a travesty of comment than a travesty of justice.

Ok, let's say for a moment that she wasn't carrying a gun and did not have the option to use deadly force... What would she have done in an abusive situation? Duh? Getting away is ALWAYS an option. If the abuser prevents you from getting away or calling for help then yes, use what you've got to stop them. She shot her husband in the upper torso instead of in the leg which tells me she had an intent to kill him. The fact that she is free without any charges being filed pending an investigation says a lot about the double standard our law enforcement officers have when it comes to one of their own.

It's a shame that a man has to loss his life, because of a women. I personly she should have left the situation before it got out of hand.

She knowing the system - wouldn't she have called
9-1-1 to report an assault? Have arriving officer determine is an arrest charge should be made? Then he have his day in court instead of being rested 6 feet under?

(then who goes for fast food after a dinner out????)

First off, people are let free pending an investigation all the time. It is the way the system works. Second, and I am not saying this is how it happened, but next time you are being beaten by someone bigger and stronger than you, why dont you grab a gun and try and just shoot in the leg or arm. Really doesnt work that way. Officers are not taught to shoot guns out of hands or to wound the legs. Officers are taught to shoot center mass, which is what this was.

Again, before we all pass judgement, we have to wait to see what the outcome of the investigation reveals.

She deserves to go to jail. I hate when people pull the stupid "abuse" card. Murder is murder. She ABSOLUTELY should be charged and go to prison for this.

No one knows what really happened that night, because the only other person who was in the car when this happened is dead. However, knowing both the victim and wife, she was the aggressor as she has been in the past on several occasions. This is not the first time she pulled a gun on him, but apparently this will be the last time. Just a few weeks ago, while traveling home from an event, she pulled a gun and stated she will "take his **** out!"

Now she is going to go find herself a new husband to victimize and we will here about this event with her again in the future, mark my words!!!

The Internal Affairs really needs to get involved in this situation because Law Enforcement of course is covering up for their own. The media is not stating how the cops blocked the streets off and turned away all the reporters. The media is not reporting how family was not even let near the crime scene. The media is not reporting how this woman drove several blocks from the Carls Jr to her families home with her dead husband in the car. And most importantly, the media is not reporting how this man was shot point blank in the head!! This woman put the gun to the side of his head and pulled the trigger!

This was not self defense, this was an execution.

Both families are part of a very, very, very large community so this is going to be very hard on a lot of people for a long time. Not noted in the article is that they had a child a little over a year ago.
