Who knows? Certainly not the H-B. They are usually the last to know, scooped by all the Dallas stations and umpteen people who post on Facebook. "Local Dude" is Brad Kellar, no doubt the longest-reigning, least effective reporter in all of north Texas. But he'll be sure and tell us what is happening at the so-called "Kellar Estate." Who cares?

Wow Ben, those are some strong words when the thread is about Covidien. Back to the subject, it would be nice if Covidien could be enticed to stay.

Obviously, Ben, I have done you wrong somewhere down the line and, if so, I apologize. Of course I have found that 99 44/11 percent of the criticism of the newspaper comes from those who don't read the paper or, they might learn that for every story we supposedly get "scooped" on, there are at least 100 or more that we don't. But, obviously, that doesn't matter to you because if you read the paper, or our web site, or our Facebook page, or our Twitter account, you would already know this.
But getting back to the matter of Covidien (a story which, apparently, the Dallas media hasn't covered yet. If they have Ben, I again apologize), yes it is rather unusual for them to have announced it so far in advance, but at least it gives the locals a heads up and a chance to convince them otherwise. However, given the state of the economy, that would seem unlikely.
