Chesbro stresses need for rural coalitions

Speaking before the Fortuna Chamber of Commerce, California 1st District Assemblyman Wesley Chesbro stressed the importance of rural lawmakers sticking together and working across the aisle to find solutions.

Before a tax code change can be done the state government stills needs to be revamped. First reduce the size of the government and the special commmissions.

You add $15 dollars to the vehicle license, which has already gone up, should not go to the State Parks, but support the DMV in providing services. Maybe more developmentof short-cuts using the Internet to do more business as well as through the mail.

State Parks should look for private funding through grants and local communities that believe they are imprtant enough to remain open and benefit the community they are located near.

More Fees, more taxes and more spending, that's what Chesbro is all about. Instead of working toward solving the problems of unemployment, closing businesses and budget deficits, he talks about "rural lawmakers sticking together" and an "increase of $15 vehicle license fee".
