This is one of the most important songs in the Christmas celebration. For the rest of their lives these performing children will be forced to hear these "alternate" words every time Silent Night is played.

This had nothing to do with tolerance. This stupidity was done solely to create a controversy that will ultimately get the real "Silent Night" and other "religious" Christmas music banned from future school concerts far and wide. This was done in a typically underhanded, manipulative and conniving manner by a sneaking minority bent on wagging the dog.

This was nothing less than a psychological assault on these children and people of the Christian faith. This is a HATE CRIME and needs to be prosecuted.

No doubt had another religion fallen victim to such an attack, the courts, lawyers and politicians would be all over it already. But, never when Christians are attacked. So much for the equal protection of hate crimes. No, now the Christians are going to have to fight the hatred against their religion.
