Roz. Imagine if no one in New York committed any wrong doings, how empty the court houses would be and how blank the dockets would be? We could actually put judges out of business and send them to Walmart for employment. Sure, they might get turned away because they are too educated, but that is what happens to most people that are college educated and cannot find work among the masses. Judges and lawyers are over confident that they will always have a job, like doctors and nurses. Too bad we cant prove them wrong.

Anything associated with the Suffolk County goverment sucks especially the $100,000 a year cops who take 45 minutes to leave the firehouse parking lot to respond to your call. I mean jesus christ, is there any other goverment agency that is more messed up?

The cops answer to the people who run the towns/local governments who are themselves corrupt - look at the Village of Quogue - the mayor has been indicted - his wife is the judge she signs baseless warrants for whomever the cops want her to - so they are covered and the town trustees like it that way - give them more power. Someone really needs to write a story about Quogue - starting with the migrant worker who was shot by a cop and it all just dissapeared.

Simple answer, because the judges in suffolk county are political hacks. The newer ones are a little better, but the old school republican hacks are the worse.

Are you kidding??? Suffolk County Family Court Judges are the WORST OFFENDERS. When a judge makes comments that "so what, the kid was abused a few years ago", or "no child has any rights in my court room" or saying to the abusive parent that if they "throw a couple of more bucks the kids way for child support, maybe the kid would have a little more affection for them"..Litigants who know they are telling the truth and see that a Judge is abusing his position, need to file a formal complaint against the judge and send copies to Judge Freundlich and the New York State Attorneys Office and to Newsday. Judges are blatantly violating the canons regarding code of conduct and they should be turned in. A committee needs to be formed to remove them or have them disbarred. Not everyone who is in court Jim, is a loser. You must receive from a Judge in order to make a comment like that.

How about being owed 64,629.22 and the court says he wasn't willful in not paying because he has half a foot. NO ONE said ANYTHING about a foot. So for 8 years he can't pay becuase of all of his "problems".(he's a professional roofer off the books) So he files for custody of ONE of our TWO children. Get this, because I'm tired from working to take care of them. I was also on chemo and working. And the kids came back from visitation this weekend and said he went and adopted a dog. Nice. He has no problem not being responsible for his kids, but he wants to care for a dog. Hey taxpayers, how much money do you think has been spent on all of this??? probably more than what he owes.

How about being owed over 100,000.00. in back child support. The reason you never hear about people like me is because they give up after a few years- because the judges have given the so called "deadbeat" all the time in the world- because his attorneys keep firing this lowlife because he hasnt paid them either-And the money usually runs out while thus postponing my contempt hearing again and again. Oh we cant throw him in jail without him having his attorney present- even though he has been in contempt 3 times already. Yes we have garnished his wages- but the loser is crying poverty now, quit his job and is working off the books. I solely have been taking care of my children for the past 2 years including sending one of my kids to a private university. OUCH!
But That doesnt stop him from spending lots of money on himself and all his online dating partners. He has to go that route because its not long before these woman figure out his real motive. Dont get me wrong.. I could care less what this guy does- Just pay what you owe me. Its very simple. But apparently not for a narcarcistic Jerk.
After all "Judges are pitbosses and the lawyers are there to make sure you stay at the table".
