In reference to owner Don Huffman's comment that they had hoped this part of U.S. 27 would look like Four Corners, I say it is a good thing that it does not look this way.

This Dealership was the brain child of vice president(dictator) of Harley of Lakeland Bill Montes De Oca. I cant believe that building a multi-million dollar, specialty business in the middle of nowhere turned out to be a bad idea. I would love to know where the projections for growth came from especially when half their demographic for Lakeland could easily go to Brandon or Orlando HD. Condolences to an arrogant, greedy and stupid man and to Harley Davidson for putting good money on such a lame horse.

I am not surprised this store hit the rocks but sorry to see it go. I'm not a motorcyle person but hate to see any business fail. Hwy 27 is a great place to locate a business if that business is south of I-4 and north of Hwy 60 (the 2 main east/west corridors for central Florida). The traffic drop is tremendous once you pass Hwy 60 going south. Had the site been a few miles north it might still be open and surviving. Too bad.
