Sometimes we have to accept the things we cannot change and move forward. Good luck Andy. If she was there during your MI then she probably helped you through it some how.(or did she cause it)I am surprised Merck did not deduct points for fighting with a spouse as a cause for our MI's!. lol

I just reread all the statistics listed on theBG 10/2009 MDL website and it was really informative. All the IS and EIF claimants should look over the statistics.

As a matter of fact,she did not help me through it, she lied and even said that she was the "Bread Winner" during the ten weeks I was out of work. My company paid me the whole 10 weeks I was off.But I do agree with you, I live by "God grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change....Courage to change the things I can and Wisdom to know the difference....I will survive and move forward...I have God on my side and Evil knocking at my back door, I am not worried, Evil will not get in, We are all protected...

Andy,I was married to my than ex wife at the time of my MI.But I never had to give her a thing.Also since I was disabled afterwards I could have got spousal support from her ,but being the nice guy I am I declined.Personally I think your attorneys took the easier road and thus you got screwed.But thats water over the bridge at point in the ball game,sounds like everyone had you the bad guy & paying before you ever stepped into the court room.

Dick, You are so right. But the sad thing is, I am ready to lay down and die. I can't take no more of the BS I have been through. I just feel that everyone gets my money! When I was in the Life Flight helicopter, I was at peace, I saw my dead Mom and Aunt Peggy, They told me it was not my time. Believe it or not. I was given a second chance? For what? I have no idea? I feel some days that I must suffer. But, I also feel God put me here for a reason. That's why I always say I am confused and why must I suffer? I appreciate all of your support. I must believe God has a plan for me. I already know it will not be financialy. I must suffer for some unknown reason. This is what Merck took from all of us. God help us!!!!!!!!!

Andy...Just to let you know..we (most of us) are in the same boat..let's face it..Merck screwed us...The little I got from Merck will be gone..just flippin gone...My Dr's just told me that my stents are closing..and my health insurance just dropped me...

I know your wife is after any that she can get..but, believe me,...she can't get it...it's a personal injury settlement...she can't have a single cent...

You need to pull up your boots and keep walking through the sh#t, has to be a pony in here somewhere!

The problem is in Ohio, is that she is getting my money. I know I am going to die at an early age. Due to what we have all been through. I am very depressed, but will get by. I do appreciate your support.

Andy...I lived in Ohio..had a personal injury case..spouse can't get anything..as I said, been there, done that...Call you lawyer and tell them..the law!! She can't get squat..

Guees what..we all are going to die..if not by Merck, then by something else..but, I'll be damn if I go down sucking my thumb!!!

Congrats to all that received their monies!!
Being stroke we still have quite a wait.
I have written the Judge becasue of some of our problems and am getting some response from our lawyer....
I just hope all of you with these slow and carefree lawyers will let the judge and B&G know your problems. There is NO reason you all have not received your money. Hopefull if enough let them know it will be addressed at the meeting in early December.

Help!! Dick In Ohio - Concerned - you have been such great sources of information and encouragement. I don't know what to do next. My lawyer is co-counsel - My Mom had 2 heart attacks, stroke and passed all within 76 days. Was told by a former paralegal that we have filed 2 cases. MI/IS..... I have been e-mailing, phoning my paralegal & B&G. Don't even have the opportunity to speak with a lawyer. B&G cannot give me info because I have counsel. Attorneys will not give me ANY info. I don't know if we passed gates for either claim, don't know if we have points, don't know if we had an appeal. I do know we don't have any liens. Friday I received a reply e-mail stating that they will contact me when they have information. Wish I lived in NJ....I would be there every day. I am thinking they really don't care because they are co-counsel and will have to split their monies. Were you informed when you passed gates and received points? I have read the MDL Conference Report for October 23, but I am not sure how to decipher it. I think that Concerned once posted that with both cases MI & IS I would have to wait until the end. OK, but shouldn't I be getting some sort of info along the way? Or did everyone waiting until their end to receive information. I feel as though they work for me and I should at least be informed...not told to just Wait!!!! My big question is...Do I have Anything to Wait For? I am looking forward to Dec 3rd to listen to the next Conference, hopefully something will be learned.

Also if you had passed the gates or received points, Jenn at Brown Greer would be able to tell you that much. Maybe your case is still pending. That means they have not made any decision as of yet. If you were denied - they would have told you that too!
So call the law firm - ask them to pull up your vioxx portal and to read to you everything that it says!!

Nani, Hang in there i know its enough to drive you crazy but don't let it. I am still trying to get a letter saying I was denied. My lawyer said I might be denied back in October that's after finally getting a response to my email, they are no longer reachable by phone. And you are right about Jenn at Brown/Greer she could not tell me anything also because i am represented by counsel. Really,some representation. I probably would have fared better going pro se, at least i could get answers. Where do you go from here?

I've never posted on this blog before, but have been reading the posts since November '08. Comments have been very helpful. I have SW - what a bunch of non-caring "professionals". I am an MI claimant - received my interim check first week in February '09. Sent back final recap papers on November 5 - called SW today and they say it may be end of the year or first of 2010 before we get final check. Said they sent paperwork to accounting on November 6 and they're still processing. I just don't understand how this could take so long with technology the way it is today. I know this is not new information, but I just needed to vent - this is so frustrating.

Dick, I called my lawyer today, did not speak to no one, I had to leave a voice mail about the hold up {My Ex}, They e-mailed me stating that Quote: I believe our accounting department needs signed recaps from you and {MY EX} before they can cut checks. End Quote. They also said they called her and told her to call them. I told my lawyer in my voice mail that I already had this settled in the agreement with my other lawyer that talked me in to, and that she would withhold signing just out of spite, she is that way. This is where I am at today, I agree she is not entitled to anything, but I am broke with all of these Lawyer fees to try to fight it any more, Plus the small town I am from, The Lawyers all know each other and play there games at our expense.
