Did anyone heard Joe Biden's comments about " The republicans putting you people back in chains"
What an awful thing to say.
I cannot understand why Obama / Biden won't argue points. All they do is make these outlandish absurd statements or campaign commercials.
I have tried to keep an open mind about the upcoming Presidential election but this kind of garbage just makes it even harder to consider voting for Obama/ Biden again.

We have to face it, Joe Biden bumbles and fumbles his words, and spouts the "wrong thing" at the most hilarious moments. I've a feeling the Democrats have been keeping a muzzle on him for the last four years.

That latest Biden flub about "putting y'all back in chains" was outrageous... what a goof ball.

Yes, but he does know his role as the Vice-President unlike Cheney who was actually the behind the scenes President. A Vice Pres is ther to cast the decidng vote in the senate and to take over if something hppens to the president. He made a mistake but what a relief from the Worst Pres and Vice-res ever.

True, and the somewhat goofy, bumbling Vice President has become almost a tradition... and sometimes these fellows truly rise to the challenge when the Big Cheeze is taken out.

Spiro Agnew was one of the funniest, yet most vicious, as was LBJ on the other side of the coin.

Ford was an Icon for such an image... who can forget Chevy Chase as Ford bumping his head and falling down the airplane steps on SNL when it was still funny?

Dan Quayle and his ludicrously sub-literate image, couldn't even spell "potato".

And so on and on...

Not really, Gore bought into that man made global warming junk science and moved to new levels of foolishness, he like many of his likeminded ilk, don't care about facts and real data, they change facts and skew data at will because it doesn't matter if its real or not, just so you believe it.

Gore is the biggest fool of recent times.

I bought into the global warming thing for the first few years, after time went on I became more skeptical.
I read about a NASA scientist who stated that the icecaps on Mars were receding drastically also so he theorized that the sun must be a little hotter than in previous years, needless to say he was fired.
Then they found out those other global warming scientist had doctored their results I was done with it.
Now with Al Gore, he has turned it into a political issue, and even President Obama wanted Cap and Trade, issuing carbon credits to industries.
That had to be the stupidest idea ever.
I don't how big my carbon footprint is(LOL) but really, does it even matter.

While George Bush was busy doing these "inspired bits of genius":

"...The Bush economy is one of the worst on record. Median wages dropped. Poverty worsened. Inequality increased. Surpluses turned into deficits. Monthly job growth was weaker than it had been in any expansion since 1954. Economic growth was sluggish. And thatÂ’s before you count the financial crisis that unfurled on his watch..."

To educate the dumb one I will repost:

The day the democrats took over was not January 22nd 2009, it was actually January 3rd 2007 the day the Democrats took over the House of Representatives and the Senate, the start of the 110th Congress.

The Democrat Party controlled a majority in both chambers for the first time since the end of the 103rd Congress in 1995. For those who are listening to the liberals propagating the fallacy that everything is "Bush's Fault", think about this: January 3rd, 2007 was the day the Democrats took over the Senate and the Congress: At the time: The DOW Jones closed at 12,621.77 The GDP for the previous quarter was 3.5% The Unemployment rate was 4.6% George Bush's Economic policies SET A RECORD of 52 STRAIGHT MONTHS of JOB CREATION!

Remember the day... January 3rd, 2007 was the day that Barney Frank took over the House Financial Services Committee and Chris Dodd took over the Senate Banking Committee. The economic meltdown that happened 15 months later was in what part of the economy? BANKING AND FINANCIAL SERVICES ! THANK YOU DEMOCRATS for taking us from 13,000 DOW, 3.5 GDP and 4.6% Unemployment... to this CRISIS by (among MANY other things) dumping 5-6 TRILLION Dollars of toxic loans on the economy from YOUR Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac FIASCOES!(BTW: Bush asked Congress 17 TIMES to stop Fannie & Freddie - starting in 2001 because it was financially risky for the US economy). And who took the THIRD highest pay-off from Fannie Mae AND Freddie Mac? OBAMA And who fought against reform of Fannie and Freddie? OBAMA, Barney Frank, Maxine Waters and the Democrat Congress.

So when someone tries to blame Bush... REMEMBER JANUARY 3rd, 2007.... THE DAY THE DEMOCRATS TOOK OVER!" Bush may have been in the car, but the Democrats were in charge of the gas pedal and steering wheel they were driving.

Set the record straight on Bush! "It's not that liberals aren't smart, it's just that so much of what they know isn't so" -Ronald Reagan B-B-B-B-But it's his Fault!

As president Reagan said (paraphrasing): "These facts can be difficult things to deal with." PLEASE KEEP THIS ONE GOING IN HOPES THAT WE CAN ACTUALLY MAKE PEOPLE UNDERSTAND WHOSE FAULT THIS HUGE DEFICIT ACTUALLY IS!!!!!!!!!

The Washington Post babbled again recently about Obama inheriting a huge deficit from Bush. Amazingly enough, a lot of people swallow this BULL. So once more, a short civics lesson. Budgets do not come from the White House. They come from Congress and the party that controlled Congress since January 2007 is the Democrat Party. Furthermore, the Democrats controlled the budget process for 2008 & 2009 as well as 2010 &2011.

In that first year, they had to contend with George Bush, which caused them to compromise on spending, when Bush somewhat belatedly got tough on spending increases. For 2009 though, Nancy Pelosi & Harry Reid bypassed George Bush entirely, passing continuing resolutions to keep government running until Barack Obama could take office. At that time, they passed a massive omnibus spending bill to complete the 2009 budgets. And where was Barack Obama during this time? He was a member of that very Congress that passed all of these massive spending bills, and he signed the omnibus bill as President to complete 2009.

Let's remember what the deficits looked like during that period:(below) If the Democrats inherited any deficit, it was the 2007 deficit, the last of the Republican budgets. That deficit was the lowest in five years, and the fourth straight decline in deficit spending .

After that, Democrats in Congress took control of spending, and that includes Barack Obama, who voted for the budgets. If Obama inherited anything, he inherited it from himself.

In a nutshell, what Obama is saying is I inherited a deficit that I voted for and then I voted to expand that deficit four-fold since January 20th.

<snipped for brevity & focus>
Actually, these facts and the others are exactly what has led me to my current stance, and the stance of many of my like-minded ilk:

The Republicans set the mess in motion, the Democrats have failed to solve it... this is why I feel the time has come to beging building a valid third party, and am voting for Gary Johnson for President 2012 in November.

I wish President Obama would have chosen another running mate. I think the Obama/ Clinton team would have been fantastic and got her ready to run for President in 2016.

Many of us thought Hillary would have been a good choice, and I read that even Bill Clinton tried to sway both Obama and his wife to work together for a grand slam style victory in November, but I understand Obama's need to continue to do things "His Way" as Sinatra put it, and not to ride the coat-tails of the Legndary Clinton family.

And again, Nadine, that's a much better choice than Romney, really, that's you support Obama, and if I had to pick the lesser of two evils Obama would be the pick.

And, by the way, also again, I read your earlier criticism of the Columbus-Phenix City music scene, that you mistakenly thought there are no black performers... which means you must not attend any of the events since as a starter, the drummer for many of us, including on my songs as well as the Conley Brothers, Buddy Harden Band and others, is Derundo Jenkins.

Check out a few of his videos, original songs, his drumming and even an interview with him:

http://www.youtube.com/user/RusticViewer07/vi...

There are others, as well... which just goes to show that Rusty Wood was correct in his judgement that many people are critiquing and criticizing the local music scene without really knowing anything about it.

There are many others, and I reckon since the subject is up, and if you're interested, Nadine, we can go through and showcase the many local performers and songwriters of this area, who come from all walks of life and so on.

Well... as you know we do have a "choice", as the Third Party in America continues to grow.

I understand how you feel voting for the thirf party candidtate Gary Johnson is a wasted vote, and in some ways it is, but at least if you're not helping Johnson build his validity you're voting against Romney and putting Obama back in for another try.

The old "lesser of two evils" gambit.

With Hillary thou it would be sure that we will get involved in another Mideast war with Iran, and I don't think the Chinese will loan us any more money to fight a war that would put oil prices skyhigh. This country should make cutting back it's major priority or you are going to see one helluva financial collapse. Only Nixon and Clinton made it a priority over the past 40 years and they only scratched the surface.

I bought farm land in Harris county and have enlarged my garden every year, my wife cans much of our produce. We are preparing for rougher times and have spoken with our neighbors about plans for thre future.
My biggest fear is from our Government- the National weather service, Social Security and other departments are buying 100's of 1000's of hollow point rounds. Why do they need this?
This is in the news, this really bothers me and it should you too....democrat or republican.

Okay, sorry about the "Troll" comment, Lick, as this is an excellent comment/question, something we need more of on these Forums.

Perhaps we could try calling a Truce and slack off on all the mud-slinging for a while, and concentrate on what may be happening to America right under our nose by the equally sleazy Democrats and Republicans?

I'm game if you are.

Folks are also buying weapons food to store, and water to defend their families once the poo poo hits the fan. The only problem I see is if your neighbors around you know won't they storm your place in desperation? we are talking an extreme situation but who knows?
