But that stuff isn't that good. If you want good cutting edge musical entertainment go to Auburn or Atlanta.

How about the Harris county music scene, its a truer sound.
I've heard some good things on music being done at a little place out River Road, hosted by Granden Eakle with Riley Yielding and others.

I'll get the info and post it here later.

Columbus Georgia shall never have a thriving music scene as long as that guy keeps breathing all over every peep of music anyone makes. No one wants to perform and THERE HE IS!. No one wants to do anything and then WHAM! There he is commenting on it and attaching his link. The fact is no one is free to do anything with music publically in the area unless they want him commenting on it. Forever trapped in cyberspace to his music links. He owns no equipment nor plays an instrument nor can he sing. Yet he jumps the stage and records and posts links to HIS music. The fact is no one is free to perform without his commentary which then is permanently attaches the artist to him.
Make your music... oh, wait, you're just an anonymous hecker, you have no music.

Never mind.

Haven't seen my pal posting lately here, he's on the road with his Mummy's and in and out.
Loved the way he busted Will's chops.

That's a lot of /chops/ to try to bust, my friend... and your friend can't hang, apparently... heh.

Here's a sample of the real deal, myself and comrades live at Hogbottom signifying for the Columbus GA-Phenix City AL music scene:

Normal people want nothing to do with you or your so called music scene. Normal people would rather not publically perform music because they do not want to get lathered in your soapy commentary and then have you saying you are their friend or you know them. You know it. You play it off though. But it is the reality. No one wants to be a part of your side show.
Well, you can only give /your/ opinion, and you tend to do that endlessly.

So, you don't like me pr the music... why not stop wasting your time here and go find some music you /do/ like?

You know, get positive rather than this endless wallowing in negative and obsessive sniffing behind me?

No one can get positive. Example. No one can be free from you. Robin posted and you wanted to sample her little cousin's music. Jim posted about a singer he knew as a child and you wanted every detail about it and wanted to know if he still communicated with the singer. No one can perform or discuss music or art or almost anything in a three hundred mile radius without you showing up in their lap. I know for a fact several people have said, and they say people have said it to them also, they have seen you coming into a store and they immediately panic trying to find the first exit in fear you'll be commenting on what type of sanitary napkin they were buying.
Yet here you are...

Giving /your/ unwanted opinion!

Unwanted Opinion wrote:
UNWANTED OPINION is anyone who doesn't praise him, or those who challenge the validity of what he promotes. No. His music is not good. The few videos he is able to scrape up after jumping a stage and have the musicians already there back whatever he says, these videos he promotes as if he is THE FRONT MAN of a band. Most of the videos the musicians just play to humor him to hurry him up off the stage so they can get back to what they were doing. There is a story going round that he bummed a ride to a studio Henry was recording in. Henry was trying to keep it secret from him. When he showed up Henry was mad as hell. But, that was this last summer. Maybe he is the lead singer of The Cone Leigh Sisters Band now.
Here's a good recent example of The Conley Brothers performing live, since you seem curious about them:

Columbus can defineately be a music scene but where have all the really good groups and musicians gone? Marshall Tucker, skinnard, Deep Purple, The Byrds, just to mention a few. There is no reason for anyone 50+ to go endure squach 457, booz, girls outdoor and all the other worthless boring musicians and singers. This is the problem. Now good instrumentalist are replaced by smoke, rockets going up in the air, short skirts with screaming voice boxes. Yes I saw the BEST of America and it's fading fast.

Native... I think you'll enjoy the story of Rodriguez, an actual 1960s singer-songwriter who has spent the last 40 years in obscurity, and is just now being discovered in the US.

Look on the Forum for a post about "Rodriguez", and I'll bump it back to the top so you can find it.

The local music here sucks, especially the awful open mic nights.
