I've seen hundreds of Doo-Nanny photographs myself, but none that support your opinion.

And so it goes.

I didn't know Butch had a "PR MAN"... you seem to fill that slot better than most, I reckon.

And so it goes.

Probably posters should remember the guidelines of Topix.com "Terms of Service" that appears with each post being made:

"Please note by clicking on "Post Comment" you acknowledge that you have read the Terms of Service and the comment you are posting is in compliance with such terms. Be polite. Inappropriate posts may be removed by the moderator..."

Free speech is one thing, libel, slander and misrepresentation is another.

And so it goes.

there was none of those things on the ma rainey thread. whoever removed it did not like the fact that the image of ma rainey was mocked and not glorified.

Well we will never know if what you think is true since the thread seems kaput.

the progressive conspiracy way today is to just silence and remove all speech that questions or opposes the progressive plan to remold the world. Obama is not god and he is not righteous nor are his minions who implement his agenda. this forum despises anything it thinks does not fit in its agenda or is counter to the thinking of the forum. it defines right and wrong. good and bad. free speech and what is not free speech. tolerance only extends to what it deems is correct and suits its view of everything. all else is not tolerated and is removed.

I had several friends tell me that Doo Nanny was really lame when they went.
I really don't think it will be missed that much.

Nah, Doo-Nanny went the way of all all musical events in Columbus.
It was free for a long time but they started charging $$$ and no one wanted to pay for what was basically free quality music.
Columbus isn't really a music town, those saying we got a "music scene" are dreamers and fantasizing about what they wish we had.
The only musical event locally that has had any staying power has been the "Family Day in the Park". You can scratch the "in the Park" part as of this year cause they moved it down to the Civic Center area from Cooper Creek park.
If you like Rap, HipHop, old soul, R&B or black blues then Columbus does have a little thing going on music wise.
The rest is pretty bad.

No, Doo-Nanny was first and foremost about art, as in paintings an sculpture, the music was just a part of the event.

And no, there has been no official ending of Doo-Nanny.
