Truck Stop Woman

Pulled into Auburn, Alabama,
It was raining of course.
All I seemed to contemplate besides the weather
What a shame to be divorced.

Truck stop woman waving sideways
She'll be in my dreams tonight.
Fifteen minutes of eternal love
Then she's back out of sight.

Rode past Buena Vista,
There was sand in the sky.
Plastic Jesus started trembling
Then I seen her with my eyes.

Truck stop woman waving sideways
She'll light and warm my dreams tonight
Fifteen dollars worth of true love
Man that girl was out of sight.

Something about her was familiar
There was smoke in her eyes.

Back outside of Phenix City,
Pimps and their ilk all around.
Then it turned negative
When I seen her bouncing around.

Truck stop woman waving sideways
She'll be in my dreams tonight.
Fifteen minutes of eternal love
Then she's back out of sight.

Truck stop woman waving sideways
She'll be in my dreams tonight.
Fifteen dollars worth of true love
Man that girl was out of sight.
She's right back out of sight.

He always trys to write a song like he is a man. He has never been anywhere or done anything but sweep up the lint off the mill floor until he was fired for doing a half ass job. All he did was disappoint his dad. Drive his wife insane until she left. Then spent thirty years slipping in at 4AM to sleep on his momma's couch. Surviving on OLIVE LOAF, cigarettes and beer.
Heh... if only you knew *yourself* as well as you pretend to know me in your obsessed, pathetic fantasies, then you might actually be able to write a song yourself.

But as the saying goes:

"Those of us who can, do... those who can't, whine and complain while hiding behind fake names on public forums."

We know.

THE SONG wrote:
Does the song TRUCK STOP WOMAN describe the reason why you claim you go back and forth across the bridge into Alabama several times a day? The song describes the activities of WHITE SLAVERY prostituting women, degrading women. Is this the truth BEHIND THE MUSIC?
No, I have friends, family and work in both Alabama and Georgia, which is very common for us folks who live in the Columbus-Phenix City area.

Calm your ALL CAPS homoerotic hysteria.

"Truck Stop Woman" is simply a retro country & western song in the old school style of Buck Owens, Johnny Cash and their ilk.

It is not the same. Country songs are not blatantly NASTY AS HELL as that filth song by you two DYNAMIC DUO. Ya'll are PERVERTS! Those lyrics degrade women and are disgusting. It gives the local music scene a bad reputation if you present that trash as a shining example. It is SICK! And ya'll are two sick dudes for writing it.
Well thanks for listening and giving your opinions, as confused and hysterical as they may be.

Here's the song, which shows that your objections are overblown fantasies from and overactive imagination:

I hate songs that degrade women. You should be ashamed of celebrating degrading women with this song.
I love country music and they celebrate women in song, not degrade as you have done.

Just a good old fashiond Country & Western "on the road" truckin' song, with a touch of Canned Heat counterculture in the flute riff.

Calm your hysteria.

You obviously kow little or nothing about the Country music genre.

The "Truck Stop Woman" song is an old school homage to classic country ongs and singers such as Buck Owens and Johnny Cash.

Your hype is misrepresenting what is simply an old fashioned Country-Western song about a trucker and his wayward girl.

In fact, the girl I wrote the song about is doing well right ow and loves the song, of course.

You've really never listened to much Johnny Cash or other hardcore Country musi, have you?

Truck stops and truck stop women populate dozens of Country songs, if not hundreds.

Actually, more than one chick thinks the song is about her.

I don't say either way since I'd hate to burst either of their bubbles.

Kudos to the Topix.com moderators.

From the looks of all the deleted posts made on this thread and elsewhere by the malicious, anonymous troll who obviously was on a personal agenda to libel, smear and otherwise misrepresent my name, and from the lack of flooding of more of his sleazy, lying posts, it looks like the Topix.com moderators finally got around to resolving the situation with that bizarre troll.

I find that Topix.com moderators do get these situations resolved eventually, but with the workload they have and the sheer volume of weirdos and nutcases that gravitate here, they have quite a job controlling all of it.

Here's the article the New York Times wrote on these types who take advantage of the freedom that Topix.com offers to make lying, vicious and anonymous attacks on posters they percieve as "weak" or gullible. Interesting read, to say the least:

http://www.nytimes.com/2011/09/20/us/small-to...

Well the fact is that I'm just a real person posting here, while anonymous trolls create these threads apparently from some obsessed agenda they have to attempt to smear my name, libel, and otherwise misrepresent me. And from further reading, it appears to be a sort of Topix.com phenomenon that some don't seem to be able to deal with as well as I have.
"...people in this hardscrabble town of 5,000 have shifted from sharing the latest news and rumors over eggs and coffee to the Mountain Grove Forum on a social media Web site called Topix, where they write and read startlingly negative posts, all cloaked in anonymity, about one another. And in Dee’s Place, people are not happy. A waitress, Pheobe Best, said that the site had provoked fights and caused divorces. The diner’s owner, Jim Deverell, called Topix a 'cesspool of character assassination.'[...] In rural America, where an older, poorer and more remote population has lagged the rest of the country in embracing the Internet, the growing use of social media is raising familiar concerns about bullying and privacy. But in small towns there are complications. The same Web sites created as places for candid talk about local news and politics are also hubs of unsubstantiated gossip, stirring widespread resentment in communities where ties run deep, memories run long and anonymity is something of a novel concept.'Something about rural culture seems to make people want to have conversations in public,' said Mr. Sandvig, who has studied the use of social media sites in rural areas. Topix, a site lightly trafficked in cities, enjoys a dedicated and growing following across the Ozarks, Appalachia and much of the rural South, establishing an unexpected niche in communities of a few hundred or few thousand people..."

And, of course, there's a difference between free speech and libel. The posts made here and elsewhere on Topix.com by the trolls unfortunately tend to fall into the latter category.
