What became of THOMAS and BRITT WILSON of the famous local band BRITTON? Also there was this kid who went to Calvary School in the 1970's named Johnny Parker. He was into KISS and early PUNK ROCK. Alice Cooper. Etc. Where are they now?
Last I heard Britt was working up in the Atlanta area.

Hello, Flower-Child, great to see you here, and thanks for taking the time to post a note for me... yes, this has been a hectic little year so far, but a good one.

See my other post to you elsewhere, and an update on the Last FM site, it must be that the new track, "Idle Hour Night" is just too new, that it hasn't fully "processed" there, since all the other tracks there seem to play fine, including ones that are longer, bigger files:

http://www.last.fm/music/Will+Dockery/Will+Do...

Checking out your book and movie reviews, and I have a few of those to add, shortly..!

And looks like we may just get some snow here finally, pretty soon!

I thunk the play in the band "Animule"
There was a link out there a year or so ago... very likely can be Googled.

I'll have a look when I return later today.

Good morning sweet Will ... long time haven't been over here ... heck, it's been a long time I've not been posting on a regular basis ... I basically started a few days ago ... and came on like gangbusters ... a couple of trolls came on my co-thread (a thread created by my partner in crime) on Top Stories with their political B/S and it was such a fun thread ... now it's all polluted, harumph! LOL ... oh, well ... hopefully they'll get tired and take it back to the threads where they started their initial fight ... somehow, I find it hard to believe they will ...

So, what have you been up to? Snow? Rain? Storms? Writing? Songs? Talk to me baby? LOL ...

I've been quite sedentary for the last 2 5/7 weeks but that is about to change in 2 days when I'm allowed "light duty" back at the gym, driving, driving myself to the movie theater and a whole lot of things I did prior to 1/24/13 ... most of my friends work so they don't get to bum around like I do during the day and they're too pooped to pop after their time sensitive, deadline driven jobs which render them brain dead after 14 hour work days ... I know, because if I were still working I'd be just like them ... I WAS just like them and I can totally relate! 12-14 hour work days ... ugh!...

woke up at 3, got up at 4 and it's nearing 0630 ... time for a nap ... it's drizling out and may turn to thunderstorms ... going to let the pups out, force them out rather and take a nap ... thanks for Sixto ... loved that guy back in the 70's ... I played some more of him over on my thread ... Enjoy your day! Thanks for coming over, too! Peace & Love, FC <3 ...

Good morning, Will! Thanks for digging wayyyy back into the archives and bringing me back to the OLD daze when music was mellow and bring my memory back alive from the 60's, LOL ... it's been a long time since I heard Sixto ... but it seems you brought him up before not too long ago and I didn't really seem to remember him back then ... IDK why ... this song in particular I remember ... lyrics:
"I wonder about the tears in children's eyes
And I wonder about the soldier that dies
I wonder will this hatred ever end
I wonder and worry my friend
I wonder I wonder wonder don't you?"
cool song ... and some of his others just as cool! Thanks for taking me back to the 70's ... I need it after the Grammy's the other night ... The Grammy's that put me to sleep, LOL ... guess I'm just set in my way and I'm used to rockin' or chillin'... JMHO, what the hey, right? lol ...
you sure know how to shop those basement bargains ... I should learn to be so frugal ... nah, I'm a convenience girl, buy on the fly and on impulse ... doesn't every girl, lol ... j/k ... no, I'm not, hahaha ... I think I'm going to have to turn the front bedroom into a closet and dressing room, really!... cracks me up when my bestie says that to me ... good taste and cute clothes, though! heh!
Well, it's Tuesday ... wishing you a bright beautiful day filled with warmth and sunshine ... high of 66 and mostly sunny! Get out and enjoy it! Thanks for stopping by ... C'iao ~ FC <3 ...
SIXTO RODRIGUEZ ~ INNER CITY BLUES ...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v =fgQ-QrCFMjsXX
Hello Flower-Child, just having to run out the door soon, but here's more on Rodriguez, having rented his DVD documentary last night:

Old Sixto's one cool cat with two legacy releases, both sustainably
spinworthy, and a recent soundtrack compilation.

Here're a couple of useful links...

Interview on 60 Minutes:

Bonus Clip of Daughter's remarks:
http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/...

Tavis Smiley interviews Malik Bendjelloul, the filmmaker behind
Searching for Sugar Man:

Thanks JW... I just watched the documentary "Searching For Sugar Man" a
couple of times this morning, and the mystery seems deeper than ever!

Many questions, and even the answers given raise questions...

http://www.redbox.com/movies/searching-for-su...

"In the late 1960s, two celebrated producers discovered a musician in a
Detroit bar and were struck by his soulful melodies and prophetic lyrics.
They recorded an album that they believed was going to secure his reputation
as one of the greatest recording artists of his generation. In fact, the
album bombed and the singer disappeared into obscurity amid rumors of a
gruesome on-stage suicide. But a bootleg recording found its way into
apartheid South Africa, and, over the next two decades, it became a
phenomenon. Two South African fans then set out to find out what really
happened to their hero. Their investigation led them to a story more
extraordinary than any of the existing myths about the artist known as
Rodriguez..."
