Check out the Oxbow Meadows Environmental learning center off S. Lumpkin Road. I think you will find what you are looking for there.

What happened to the post about how bad that area of Columbus was?
Hmmmmm, nothing was offensive about that. I should have warned Jenny that is a bad part of town, especially in the evenings.
Well, Jenny, that is a pretty rough side of town. Stay on the main roads and don't get off into the neighborhoods to turn around, most are fine but some have extremely high amounts of crime.
And as the other poster whose post was deleted said, the place can smell bad sometimes because it is right next to a waste water treatment plant.

Check out Cooper Creek, Flat Rock and Lake Heath parks too, much safer in those areas.
