Yesterday, the most modest of gun control proposals died in the Senate . It would have expanded background checks to people purchasing weapons at gun shows and online sales, enjoyed 90 per cent support among the public and came on the back of the tragedy at Newtown.

There never was a 90% approval for gun-control.

Yep! You know the supposed leader of this country is affiliated with Muslim Terrorists when A Muslim officer crying "Allah Akbar,' while shooting up an army base is considered to have committed "workplace violence," while an American citizen boasting a Tea Party bumper sticker is classified by the Secretary of Homeland Security as a "Domestic Terrorist." And what the hell are the brothers that killed & injured so many in Boston if not Enemy Combatants? More of Obamas brothers! You people need to wake up and realize what is going on around you.

This whole gun control mess was a waste of time.
No need to make more laws for gun owners.

I really don't think President Obama is " comin after" our guns. I live in one of the hunting capitals in the nation and I can assure you that assault weapons are not necessary to kill a deer or squirrel. I think that's what the Democrats want to ban are the unnecessary clips that hold hugh amounts of ammo and the assault weapons that are used in most mass murders. The only ones that need these things are military and law enforcement. While I'm writing I will also add that in my opinion that if illegal drugs were made legal the crime rate would go way down. Country's that legalized drugs have very low crime rates. Just sayin'

Actually an ar15 is simply to small for deer and to "big" for squirrel, now if you want to hunt coyote that's about right. Actually it's also to small to hunt man unless you have burst capacity.
Three problem with shorter magazines is they take less space on a tactical vest so they will have the same number of rounds. Heck I could do the same thing with socks sewn to a vest with speed loaders for my snubnose .38.
I agree the current version of prohibition simply has fueled the urban racketeering militias illegal arms.
