Of course we're interested most on what local artists you have on board, Josh?

The Poll has 2000 "Yes" votes so some of you out there are interested... in other words, speak for yourself.

I answered this already on Facebook, Will. There are a few local bands sprinkled on top of the national and regional talent that's headlining the event. Most notably Keni Thomas, Bibb City Ramblers, Garrett Lee, and Justin Belew (the latter 2 performing with Coffey Anderson).

Well, we're putting this event on FOR the city and it's people and hoping it grows bigger and bigger each year in terms of size, talent, and draw. The new whitewater rafting course is really the only thing that's going to make Columbus' river unique (nearly every city is built along a river, but most don't have a whitewater rafting course going right through the middle of it!) so we definitely wanted to highlight that which can be seen in the logo, website, and advertising for the festival. We also went to the whitewater rafting people to ask them for suggestions on names (as well as several other local organizations, companies, etc.) and finally settled on CutBait which is the name of the main rapid on the course.

Yes, I posted this before that discussion...

Bibb City Ramblers are old friends and a good choice, I think.

Why not Poanna?

As far as local groups go, I'd place them pretty high on the list:

I hope Poanna will find a spot on the CutBait lineup. We will see. They're pretty high on my list as well.

Sounds like a plan... they'd definitely be a good representative of the best of local, along with Bibb City ramblers, et al.
