Great short article about the Columbus Civil War Naval Museum.
Ah, those must have been grand times to live in the Chattahoochee Valley... get on a steamboat to the Gulf, and from there... the world at large.

The museum is about warships
I've known about it and was a fan long before you were problably even born, my anonymous friend.

What I wrote does relate... read your history and find out how.

I heard they found a lot of dental tools and tooth brushes on the Confederate gun boat. It seems people around here used to take pride in dental hygiene. I bet they wrote poetry back then. But that was when people weren't nuts from being inbred. Back then they had smoothe radiant hair. Not dandruff dusty wads of sheep wool. The men on the gun boats had flowing calligraphy hand writing and made sense. Not like the YOO HOO NUTTY NONSENSE like Billy Winn. The last page of that COLUMBUS magazine always has a full page of that self loathing monster's writing with his smiling yellow teeth and crusty face. Always citing mess and his assumptions from some Ledger micro film he read from 1835 Creek Indian Wars, etc. Or some dumb train ride to Atlanta to go shopping with his momma in the late 1940's. Nobody wants to read anything he writes. He is far worse a writer than Coffee Sludge the other Ledger writer. Everything in Columbus Georgia is a joke. That statue of the woman dropping coins from her skirt commissioned cast for the bank by that local nut bronze casting wannabe artist. Every level you look at it it is CHEAP COMMON AND TACKY. No artists here. Just a bunch of clod hoppers and introverts. Mediocrity now, that is what they are. We do have a thriving MEDIOCRITY SCENE. Filled with the most talentless mediocre people who ever lived. The Sad Sack Scene. Open Sad Sack Night they should have a SAD SACK FESTIVAL at the TRADE CENTER. Joey's should change his thrift mall to THE SAD SACK THRIFT MALL. Porch Of the South should change its name to BUD BAGLEYS KIN'S FRONT PORCH. Chapman's Thrift Store should be called SADSACK'S. Every business should cater to our growing inbred Sad Sack Scene. Dooninny's is a litle cruel I think. DOONINNY'S. Sad Sack seems a little less harsh. SAD SACKS seems even better than calling mill worker descendents CABBAGE HEADS and their village CABBAGE TOWN.

Agree...Would love to see those days when a trip to the Gulf and back is available. Florida wont allow the Corp. to dredge so there is less than two feet of water in spots around Blountstown, FL. and Chattahoochee, Florida.
