Highest divorce rate 71%, highest incarceration of female in prison per thousand population, 4th highest state in obesity and I could go on and on. Bottom line the republican party and Jesus have'nt done a thing to make this state a liveable state!
And interesting and telling that although Gary Johnson doesn't have a chance of actually winning the Precidency this year, both the Republican /and/ Democratic crooks feel thtreatened enough by him that they go out of their way to make sure he isn't even on the ballots in all the United States.

The only 2 candidates this election on the ballot will be Obama and romney. Our constitution says nothing about political parties only age limits and birth status. We created these political monsters.

Gary Johnson and the Green Party candidate will be debating on NPR... I don't have the date and time but it should be greatly interesting!

Oh well, it already aired but is in repeats and online:

http://politix.topix.com/homepage/2396-gary-j...

Third party candidates have an uphill battle, not least because it's virtually impossible for them to get access to the official presidential debates without D or R next to their names.

But this year NPR has stepped into the breach with a radio debate featuring the two major third partiers, Libertarian Gary Johnson and the Green Party's Jill Stein.

Both Johnson and Stein emerged as pro-civil liberties and anti-war alternatives to Romney and Obama. But they're poles apart in their thinking on government, particularly on taxes and healthcare. Stein is in favor of universal healthcare aka Medicare for all and a more redistributive tax system. Johnson's in favor of getting government out of health care, scrapping the IRS, and creating a flat tax.

Gary Johnson began a characteristically forthright opening statement, "Country's in deep doo-doo." He continued by highlighting his major campaign themes – too much tax, too much government, and stifled civil liberties.

Jill Stein agreed 100% about the state of the nation – "We are in crisis" – and like Johnson, her opening statement also hit on lost civil liberties and excessive war spending. But she prioritized "jobs, decent wages...affordable health care and higher education,[and] the climate."

Well, as we know he who sways the Electorial College is In Like Flint... nevermind what the American voters want.

Best of luck to both lousy parties... make mine Gary Johnson in 2012, and the 2013 bumper sticker:

"Don't Blame Me... I Voted For Johnson."

Here's a quick bit on Gary Johnson. At last at least an alternative to the less than thrilling Obama/Romney situation.

http://youtu.be/2X3QRSIXgns

"...Two-term Governor, Gary Johnson, says both parties are indistinguishable from one another. Both are keeping America broke. Both are keeping America at war. Both have trampled on the Constitution. And both are stooges to the same big money players that never change behind the scenes. It's time to put our differences and our parties aside and come together as a nation for the good of all. We The People are ready to LIVE FREE." -Gary Johnson 2012

They're too afraid.

But...

Gary Johnson may not get it this year, but the time is here to break that corrupt Republican-Democrat monopoly.

As I wrote earlier:

I'm an American and I'm voting for the best man for America right now... Gary Johnson.

The time is drawing near for a valid Third Party in America... I hope to see this within my lifetime.

I wish Johnson were more popular now cause we will have to wait until 2016. By the way Will as I reported to this topix board over 1 year ago the REAL truth behind Fast and Furious and as I reported then it was the bad planning on the part of the ATF cheif whom was fired last week. Republicans on this forum wanted to blame Holder which of course would be a way to get Obama. My large Gun deal store owner in Phoenix told me that ATF knew who the major drug dealers and drug runners were in the Arizona area. So he was told to let them have many highly dangerous assault when they came to buy and to run no or simple background checks on them. Now these guns had GPS tracking devices put in them before they left his store. Also since they were moving in large groups that radioactive material could also be installed. Now if it were only 2 or 3 guns these guns would not be picked up from space sattelites but if were kept together in large close nit groups as was expected that a sattelite could pick up the direction in which they were going. They were supposed to be taken into Mexico and to major drug dealing cartels but Stupid ATF did'nt have sufficient manpower to monitor their movements. Holder was kept in the dark about the depths of this operation so naturally he was recently aquited. Very strange operation but now you know the Guilty parties.

I place Obama with Jimmy Carter, I reckon... a nice guy not up for the job of President.

Interesting Gary Johnson write-up:

http://countrythinker.com/home/politics/votin...

"...Mitt Romney did not run for reelection [...] his polling numbers were so bad he knew he didn’t have a chance at winning. Romney... claims that he accomplished most of the things he wanted to accomplish and he didn’t want to become a career politician."

"...Barack Obama [...] is responsible for what economist Edward Lazear has identified as the worst economic recovery in history. He is responsible for the largest budget deficits in human history, and his Treasury Secretary has acknowledged that Team Obama has no plan whatsoever as to how to deal with the problem."

"...Meanwhile, Governor Gary Johnson had two extremely successful terms as New Mexico’s chief executive. He was reelected in a Democrat-&#8203 ;dominated state even though he was rated the most fiscally conservative Governor at the time [...] The two major parties are wrong. You don’t have to pick between failures. You can choose success instead, and in this case his name is Gary Johnson."

Just for the record and those out there who don't know me, I rejected both Republican and Democrat this year and voted for third party candidate Gary Johnson.

Gary Johnson got the most votes of any Libertarian candidate, going all the way back to 1980, so things are looking good for 2016.

As Johnson says:

"A wasted vote is voting for somebody you don't believe in and there were a lot of wasted votes tonight. There were more wasted votes tonight than I've ever seen. We all should be proud of ourselves because over the next four years none of us are gonna have to say we are responsible for this. I didn't vote for either one of 'em, I voted for Gary Johnson," Gary Johnson said.

Exactly.

That's why he didn't get my vote. Could he really be THAT stupid? Indistinguishable?
Health Care.
Gay Marriage.
Women's rights.
Abortion.
Tax breaks for the Rich.

He can't distinguish between their positions on these and every other issue? Really?
BOTH are keeping us at war?
The guy is beyond clueless if he actually thinks this.

Now that 250 million dollar romney has been put to sleep,I believe 2016 would be the perfect year for Johnson. What a pitiful perfofmance from the republicans? Americans are'nt buying into the trickle down con job anymore and hopefully the younger generations will put a stop to worshipping the wealthy.

Okay, I admit it now, the main reason we wanted Gary Johnson was for the legal weed...

Just kidding, everyone knows I don't smoke, don't drink, for a number of years now.

Just a quick repost/bump as a coda for a particularly brutal political season, now passed.

Update:

Obama won, Romney lost... get over it.

More for those who try to say I never discuss anything but music and poetry on these Forums:

Will Dockery: I couldn't stand Romney or Obama, so I voted third party for Gary Johnson... I just hope to see a valid third party arise in my lifetime to break up the corrupt Republican-Democrat monopoly. Both parties are ruining America in their own seperate ways and agendas. In my opinion. But enough of all that silliness, let's get back to what matters... the Local Music scene!

A. M.: I understand. I voted for Romney but only because he was the lesser of the two evils...and I knew if we split the votes it would be a guarantee that Obama would slide back in. Was a disaster regardless. Wish we had a no-party government with a presidential board instead on one man heading it all...

Will Dockery: I dunno... I'm old enough to remember Nixon, the quintessential Republican, and I detected a similar /sinister/ gleam in Romney's eyes. The problem with Obama seems to me that, like Jimmy Carter, he was just /too/ nice for the job of President. We need a real Leader again, which we haven't seen since at least Clinton, maybe Reagan. Yes, I actually thrived personally in the Reagan years. Reagan knew how to connect with all people, a talent the two bozos running this year both lack for very different reasons.
as Gary Johnson himself says: "A wasted vote is voting for somebody you don't believe in and there were a lot of wasted votes tonight. There were more wasted votes tonight than I've ever seen. We all should be proud of ourselves because over the next four years none of us are gonna have to say we are responsible for this. I didn't vote for either one of 'em, I voted for Gary Johnson," Gary Johnson said.

The Third Party will grow as more and more Americans wake up and reject the two party monopoly of Republican-Democrat.

2016 will be interesting. Thankfully we on't have to worry about republicans taking the Whitehouse for the next 4 years. Going off the so-called fiscal cliff will actually be a GOOD thing! Huge automatic spending cuts, especially for the bloated military and justice department which includes FBI, DEA, Secret Service. We could send some help wanted flyers to the DEA as many overdone agents will be looking for work. Walmart needs greeters and Mcdonalds needs burger flippers. Automatic tax increases for the vaunted Wealthy and even the middle-class, which many in the middle income range voted for Bush and his evil deceitful 2 front wars. So they will have to pay a little more as well. Entitlements will also be cut. So I hope they don't come to any agreement and lets everyone picth in to bring the countries large deficits way down. Unless made to most Americans have become lazy, spoiled and unwilling sacrifice for the betterment of our country. Going off the cliff will better insure fiscal responsibility. Hopefully we will also move away from the 2 party system sometime soon. Thank God romney and his party bit the bullet cause romney's 5 point sodomizing plan would create even worst deficits than Obama's, besides we won't have to here these F-cking republicans for atleast the next 4 years.

Many times though it is difficult to vote democrat but atleast I see a little compassion out of the democrats, very little or none from republicans. Hopefully we will soon start seeing a let up in arres for small marijuana possesion. the only thing that stops me from smoking is I am on pain management and the doctor will fire you if you test positive. It is a good medication for pain and circulation problems. Gary Johnson is for legalizing it nationally. Obama has stated recently that he will not try to interfere federally in Colorado and Washington states decision to make recreational use of it legal. Now this runs contrary to one of Bush's bitch picks who is the director presently of the DEA. Her name is Michelle Leonhart and I have reliable sources who tell me she will be out in the next year, thankfully. This woman should have been replaced when Obama was elected in 2008 but has managed to stay on so far.
