That's wonderful,$500,000.00 for new lighting etc. How about some new foods in the cafeterias? Contact Jamie Oliver,(of England), he will show you what good food is, not the junk served now. Full of salt and perservatives. When will that be addressed? No wonder the kids act like monsters, it's what is fed to them.

If you are a mother, you have a choice of sending your child food that you approve. I am sure that the improvements were prudent and necessary. If you do not like how the monies are spent, then it is time for you to get involved instead of complaining.

I will continue to "voice" my views until the day I die. Your complaining as well! The real point is not if I have a child and the food she eats, the point is the money being collected and what is being served as "food" for those funds. IT'S GARBAGE!! And that's called stealing in my book. Garbage can be collected out of a dumpster, why pay for it? Have you ever eaten out of a dumpster? And paid for it? I think not. Then all the people involved (managers' etc.) pat themselves on the back because they've made a profit!!! That's all that matters, money. THAT'S what makes me mad. Now tell me how to get involved with a town, and people who "worship" donkeys once a year? That indicates where peoples minds and attitudes are. A donkey is stubborn..........So get off YOUR high and mighty horse, or donkey lol

Here's something worth reading, and something Maury County Schools need! It's about Jamie Oliver from England.

Jamie would film another charitable project, Jamie's School Dinners. This four part series documents Jamie as he takes responsibility of running the kitchen at Kidbrooke School, Greenwich. It also showcases the Feed Me Better campaign, his crusade to change the poor eating habits of children and improve school meal systems. The campaign was directly responsible for the British government's pledge of 280 million pounds (over 3 years) to improve school dinners.
