Did anyone hear about an MPD officer getting a DUI this past weekend? Stopped by Oakland PD? I heard about this wanted to know if it were true?

Nothing new here...move on.
Memphis cops have a history of drunk driving, dope smoking, wife beating, whore chasing, robbery, rape, murder, pandering, theft, bribe taking, dope escorting, "mule" protecting, lying, cheating, intimidation, etc.

If true, it shows we have a dedicated police force in Oakland that enforces the law fairly and impartially. Hats off to them!
They need to publicize it!

Now before one of you wannabee's whines...a dammed drunk operating an automobile will kill/injure you or a family member, just as quick. Whether a cop, fireman, priest or politician, you will be just as dead or maimed.
If a cop chose to drunk drive, he should have known better.

(I hope Oakland PD put a few "knots on that noggin" before they locked him up! He probably fell down anyway at some point!)

Memphis cop probably wised off to the Oakland cops and they bum rushed that azz to the cage. Hope they gave him a few wasp bites on that head as a warning to the others, to keep out of Oakland.

NO ONE should get behind the wheel drunk. Cops should bust/cut the head of anyone that does!!!

This is true and the cop had his 10 year old kid in the car with him.
Oakland Cops did the right thing and I salute them for not letting this clown off the hook. I agree with an earlier post, where they really should have cut his head for being so stupid. Rotten oinker.

Last I checked, this was a felony.

MEMPHIS, TN ( abc24.com )- Another Memphis officer ends up on the wrong side of the law. The MPD officer was charged with DUI; his case is now headed to the grand jury.

Officer John Borgstrom was arrested in Oakland, Tennessee back in November. Oakland police pulled him over after receiving a call about a reckless driver.

Investigators say Borgstrom's 10-year-old child was in the vehicle with him at the time. He failed a field sobriety test and refused a breathalyzer.

John Borgstrom was arrested and charged with Reckless Driving and DUI; his case was bound over to a grand jury this week. His current status with the Memphis Police Department has not been confirmed
