This is how pathetic the sore losing Republicans have become. A call from 50 states to secede from the Union. Any Republican official who gets behind this will be shooting themselves in the foot in the next election. It will not be forgotten. Don't want to be a part of the United States of America? Great! Turn your citizenship in and leave! Get out of our country!

That was solved in 1869 by the Supreme Court. I guess some people never studied history. Not to mention, it didn't work so well the LAST time it was really tried.

Gov Rick Perry (R) did the right thing and disagreed with this lame movement. Perry, believes in the greatness of our Union and said nothing should be done to change it..."

Until Republican hard-heads change their line of thinking, and work together for the better, they will forever be known as the sore losers who would rather see us torn apart. That is so sad.

That Southern mentality didn't win the Civil war either.

You woke up sleeping giant. More and more people are seeing the importance of voting and next time (in 2 years) more and more democrat takers will be replaced with the republican makers..

Here is a fox news link about all 50 states doing the petition and 7 have hit the 25,000 signatures (including us in Tenn)

***The petitions were filed on the White House website’s “We the People” petition system. The Obama administration promises to respond to petitions that receive at least 25,000 signatures within 30 days. At least seven states – including Texas, Louisiana, Florida, Georgia, Alabama, North Carolina and Tennessee have met that threshold.***

I also found this on the White House "WE THE PEOPLE" (petitions)

https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/we-...

we petition the obama administration to:
We request that Obama be impeached for the following reasons.
We request that Barack Obama be impeached for the following reasons.

1. He proclaimed war in libya without getting congress approval first. Article I, Section 8- Only congress can approve to start war.

2. Obamacare is unconstitutional. Forcing US citizens to get health insurance whether they want it or not.

3. Obama disrespects our Constitution calling it flawed and trying to change it even after taking this oath:

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States,

and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."

4. Appointing agency “czars” without Senate approval.

Created: Nov 11, 2012
Issues: Government Reform
Learn about Petition Thresholds It's up to you to build support for petitions you care about and gather more signatures. A petition must get 150 signatures in order to be publicly searchable on WhiteHouse.gov .

Over time, we may need to adjust the petition signature thresholds, but we'll always let you know what the thresholds are.

Signatures needed by December 11, 2012 to reach goal of 25,000..6,025..Total signatures on this petition 18,975

***6,025 isn't that many more needed to impeach Obama

I had read yesterday that if the petitions get over 47,000 it is an automatic recount. It takes 25,000 votes for the white house to reply.

all these petitions are dated Nov. 11, 12, 13, 14th

Here are some of the totals so far.(a lot more states are going to hit the 25,000 mark by Dec 11th (deadline) And a few will hit over the 47,000 (some already have)

Lousiana...34,759
Tennessee..28,554
Georgia....29,520
Florida....31,592
North Carolina 27,870
Alabama....28,244
Texas......106,283

Arizona....20,603
Arkansas...20,949
Oklahoma...16,575
South Carolina..21,834
Missouri...18,042
Michigan...17,683
New York...13,916
Colorado...19,959
Oregon....13,613
New Jersey..13,038
North Dakota..10,696
Indiana...19,080
Montana...12,375
Mississipi..16,831
Georgia...11,613
Kentucky..17,125
Pennsylvania...12,247

I also saw a petition for "Recount Election"
Again, it needs 25,000 votes to get noticed in White house... 56,894

There is only half of the states here. I didn't list them all off, but they all are getting numbers up there close to the 25,000 mark. Makes ya think aye?

Except, of course, none of the above makes secession any less unconstitutional. You all can get your 25,000 names and the President WILL address your grievances (while the rest of us roll our eyes at you) but in the end, the United States will remain the same, with the exception of the likely addition of Puerto Rico as our 51st state. By the way, Puerto Ricans are AMERICANS and (gasp) they speak SPANISH!

I really wish extremists could secede. The loudest and most southern states spend MORE in Federal Tax than they pay in. Alabama, for example. TAKES and SPENDS from the Federal Gov about a buck seventy five for every dollar it contributes. In comparison, New York gets about 80 cents for every dollar it puts into Federal Gov't. So whom exactly pays for whom?

All your petition is get ya is a "White House" response, and I think it is going to sound a bit like this "Bwhaaaahaaaahaaaahaaaa ".

Now, let me explain part of the reasons the Republican Party had no chance of winning the White House. You people make REAL Republicans look bad doing things like this and the Moderates you so desperately needed wanted no part of your antics.

What would happen if thy took all the takers and put then say....in the northeast USA and all the makers throughout the rest of the US?

Then you make each of the two groups all dependent on their own governments. How long would it be until the northeastern part of the US turned into a mass ghetto without any government assistance because the makers would not be there to provide for them?

My guess would be 2 months or less.
Us, makers are tired of pulling the cart for those who vote for the other guy. They need to see what it is like to be own their own and get a J-O-B for once.

Let's first start with "Wowwza". Fox link. Fox. Hahahahahaha.

Now for "Reality". You wouldn't know reality if it slapped you in the face, because you live in at the corner of fantasy and delusion in the Twilight Zone. This is also known as the Republican frame of mine where rape is legitimate and they busy themselves washing clean dishes.

Yes, for the next four years, the Republicants are going to remind us over and over how deluded they are by shooting themselves in the foot or having circle jerks where they shoot each other. They will give the comedians plenty of fodder. And what is worse is when one of their own kind disagrees with them, they all take turns shooting him. Maybe Christie can give Rick Perry some pointers on ducking.

You are an idiot and a taker. It is a frame of mind...not mine...which you must be one with "it is all mine and I didn't earn it" frame of mind.

My mommy said I was a winner and I still am. Wait and see what the democratic party does when the unemployment runs out in january. Somebodies may have to get jobs. I too am not giving to any democratic supporting organization or give handouts to the same. See if they bite the hand that feeds them again.

LMAO! Your momma said you're not responsible, but she didn't mean it's not your fault. Keep your pennies, the democrats don't need them. In case you did not take note, Obama's campaign took in more money than Romney did. The Republicans must be some real tight wads. LMAO!

"mommys boy", when all efforts of secession have been exhausted and you find yourself still part of the 50 states, what then? Back to "birther" theories? Voter Fraud? High School Transcripts? The "Anti-Christ"? Bought the election? Do you not understand that this is exactly why your guy lost? You make the Grand Old Party look like a joke.

Why did the republican cross the road?
The real question is how we can get him to stay on the same side for five minutes.

I just wonder if Mitt Romney won the election would state be talking about seceding the union. When Bush was president no one consider this. Obama is no worse then Bush. They should be arrested for treason.
