All five kids were guilty of making bad judgement by being where they were. The ones that did not have seat belts fastened made second bad judgement. The driver was guilty of making the biggest judgement error when he ran from the police. This judgement call was the sole purpose for the two teens death and therefore should be tried and prosecuted for their deaths. Hopefully after the investigation this kid will be tried and sentenced to max prosecution by law. This will not bring the two kids killed back but may cause other kids to not make the same mistake and crime.

I agree. It is not the police departments fault for the chase or the crash. I hope that the driver does have charges brought against him and that he is punished.

Finally the police have been cleared and this irresponsible teen is going to face the fact that he killed 2 people and endangered many other people. It is good to see that our justice system recognizes the fact the he should be charged with vehicular homicide along with the other charges he now faces.

I knew paxton. And he was a really cool kid. He just wanted to go out and see a truck that had rims on it. Then somebody had to go and call the cops on him saying that they were robbing the palce when they werent. Yea it was bad that they were out,and that scott ran from the cops there is all of theses what ifs and stuff like that. Like if he didnt go out if he had his seatbelt on. And then saying that your are going to put scott up for muder thats not right. He fells bad enough. He lost 2 of his friends. I know that he wants to take everthing back that happend that day. You should not look at what happend as if they were stupied teens im a teen im 17 years old. And i know that some of yall have done stupied things. This is just a big mistake that noone wishes that it happend. Yea i see were yall are comeing from but if you just look at it from scotts shoes or something. If he has to go to jail you should only do year or 2 in juvie. But you have your opions and i have mine so its ok.

I diagree if it was your son would you want that same justice served on him, I dont think you would. It was all of the teenagers fault they all knew they was out doing stuff they wasn't suppose to be doing. It was just a bunch of teenagers out doing wrong and now they are going to learn from there mistakes.

So what if he feels like crap it does not change the fact that he did what he did even if he did not mean to do it. Sometimes people get so caught up feeling sorry for the wrong person. Scott was not and is not a victim in this case.

I am friends with some of the policemen involved in this accident and they feel bad to but no one stopped to think about their feelings when they were being raked over the coles and blamed for this incident! Everyone feels bad in this situation. There is no easy way for them to deal with it. All the teens were at fault and we will never know what really happened. All we can do is pray for them all!

Courtney, you are nearly functionally illiterate. The large amount of misspellings and poor grammar in your posts is staggering.

If I were you, I'd try to worry at least half as much about getting an education as you do about a bunch of reprobates (look it up) that were doing dope (you know very well this is true) and getting into trouble at 3:00 AM.

BTW, are you in summer school? What grade are you in? Do your teachers just shove you along? I'd hate to think that you are typical representative of the high school (there's a pun...) educational system.

ok well honeslty i think your all low down for what your saying about Scott Gooden.... scott is my ex boyfriend, best friend, and i know him better then anyone around here.... you cant judge him for a mistake that was made out of shock... i hear the change in his voice each time we talk and the smile i used to see all the time is never there... scott is suffering for what everyone puts on him and i honestly do not think that jail or being away from his family would be right for him... cause if he is sent away we will just read in the paper one day of another teen life lost.... so shut up

OK, let's see if I understand your position, Ashley: Because Scott has a change in his voice and doesn't smile, he should be considered above the law and not be charged and possibly convicted for Voluntary or Involuntary Manslaughter?

Fact is that he fled the police, led them on a long chase, willfully put others at mortal risk and precisely because of that "mistake" as you call it, there are consequences that will now have be paid. Whether or not Scott smiles anymore is inconsequential to the justice system.

Sorry sweetheart, but yes, he WILL be judged for his "mistake," as would anyone else that flees the police and causes the deaths of others.

Good Lord girl, what are they teaching you in these schools? Why don't you know this already?

Well, today they are in court so we will see how the judge & jury deal with a mistake. My children go to the same school as Scott and they say he shows very little remorse and is killing himself with drugs. He said that when he turns 18 he is going to prison so he's doing what he wants to now.

Ok i have known scott since i was in 6th grade, and he was this really awesome kid and a pretty good football player.Nobody really knows what went on for sure that night nobody knows if the people in car weren't telling him to run and telling him not to stop or maybe they were. Nobody knows except for the people in the truck.I agree with what most of you guys say ya he did have a choice but so did the other kids they had to choice not to leave their houses and go look at this truck or go get a drink or whatever it is they were doing...Yes Scott should get punished for what he did but why does it have to be to the maximum i don't know if any of you realize this but he is going to have to remember what happened that night for the rest of his life and will never forget the faces of paxton and chelsey..So before you are so quick to judge him and say that he should just be put in jail for the maximum time remember what he is going to have to think about them everytime he wakes up or everytime he goes to sleep thinking about how the stupid mistake that him and his friends made joy riding cost them their lives and possibly scotts to....
