Why don't towns like Lynville, Elton, Ardmore, Cornersville, Petersburg all the small towns run radar on all the interstates hiways, all over the state of Tennessee? Operating for profits and lowing their city's property taxes?...
Lynnville doesn’t have any way to annex land next to I-65. Don’t know about about those other towns.

Is the point being was Cornersville operating outside their jurisdiction as well as their city limits?
Using that I-65 rest area, hill and blind curve for more tickets, and profits for their police, courts and town?

If they were then would Lynnville even need city limits of the I-65 for Lynnville police or any other towns police too run radar on I-65?

Come one Bob, give it a rest. We have already established that they were wrong doing so you can drop that from your repeated agenda. It is done, let the lawyers and politicians duke it out and see what sticks to the wall. You constant whining about it and posting to your own posts has become boring now. Stop all your second guessing on what will happen next. Let's wait and see where it goes. This will take time. In the mean time, go outside and get some fresh air into your lungs and rejuvenate what little brain cells you have left.

I do believe the person was asking a question and that question certainly was not directed at your post now was it?

I agree. What they are doing wrong is on the interstate, not in the court. Dumb article with no point.

That's Clint CONfehr for ya. Never has the facts straight and rarely makes a point. Constantly looking for a "scandal" and when there's not one, let's start one....no wonder that rag of a paper has died and can't keep advertisers

The article did not help the city. Waste of time and money. No telling how much that paid ad cost. He is just doing what he is told by his moron boss. Disappointing to think he's that much of a pawn. Lost a lot of respect for the rest of them now.

Every city uses the ticket money to pay bills. No other city has over half their money come from tickets. There's the difference. C'ville is using it to pay ALL of their bills. That's a police state and kills the economy. Why is there no business left there and the only way they get sales tax is to annex to exit 22. WAKE UP!

Considering Cornersville levies a property tax, what you say cannot be true. Businesses leave for many reasons but not because of what you propose. The businesses in Cornersville are sustained by either the local population who CAN'T avoid the city or by visitors passing through who have no idea of the ticketing situation on the interstate. Even if those traveling I65 were aware of it, there is no alternate route North or South. You are just making stupid assumptions. If you disagree, put up some real proof and statistics. Or we will be forced to believe you are just another load of hot air.

Are the police to "serve and protect" not collect extra revenue for any town?

If any town is using it's police to collect extra revenue off an interstate, "Federal Hi- way!" miles from the town itself, then does that sound like too many police for the size of those towns, some getting paid too much, bad managements, or just a bunch of crooks?

Does Police State towns! Kills business, kills the local economy and makes lots people avoid those types of towns!

How many have heard lots say "they advoid towns like that and would not buy anything there?
