Know what else is against the law? Selling crack, meth and smack on Denison, 25th, Storer and 65th, just to name a few.
Hey Fox8, how come I never see yer camera's working on that?
Yeah, there's countless issues I'd rather our tax dollars address then a few old people smoking in a c r a p p y bar.

I hope they fight this to the end. It is a crazy law and taxpayers have to start standing up for what they feel is right. I give the owner credit for allowing smoking in his bar, it is his business and should be able to run it like he wants. If people do not like smoking there then go to another bar and quit bitching about his bar.

Just like any thing that causes cancer smoking is being prohibited in the work place O and tax dollars what about all the medical treatment that's going to be paid due to people smoking how come smokers think the have more rights then non smokers it was voted on and made Law so why should some one not smoking have to go or work some where else How about we just let them spray asbestos around the place then have a party after all it should be their right to give every one else cancer right ?

Hmmm wonder how many of those employers are not dealing with workplace health and safety issues? They have certainly exposed workers to asbestos in the past!

This owner has only paid $100 on fines adding up to $49,000?! I say seize the liquor license, and hold on to it until he/she coughs up the cash!

TThey say that quitting smoking is harder to give up than heroin. I don't know about the heroin thing but I know that smoking is hard for me to quit. When the states settled the tabacco law suits they where supposed to use the money to help people quit and educate schools in the dangers of smoking. At one time there was a program set up in Ohio to help people quit with counseling and medication like Zyban to aid in quitting. BUT, then all of a sudden the program was canceled. What I found out is that Taft took 280 million from the fund and used it to lure big business to Ohio. The business never came to ohio and Ohio lost all of that money because Taft gave it away. Government is too big, too crooked and the people dont mean squat for the exception of give me your tax money or else. Screw the government I'm calling for shoot a crooked politician day!

Wonderful! All the bars out here are smoke free and it's resulted in better nights out and healthier, more attractive young people going into the bar trade

Shut it down if they can't follow the law. I quite smoking 10 years ago and don't regret it, best thing I ever did. I smoked and chewed tabacco for 25 years, went cold turkey on both and have not touched a single tobacco product since.

My feeling, if you want to smoke-great-have at it, just do it in your house. You don't need to spread the results of your habit (second hand smoke, spit residue) to me and my family. If my family goes to a restaurant or my wife and I go to a bar, it should be smoke free, period end of story. There are rules now people for this, sorry, but that's life. If you decide to break the law and smoke in a bar with me in there, then I am going to just go to the bathroom on the floor right next to you because thats my right. The state is correct and this bar owner fool needs to be arrested and closed down, take away his liquor license.

Here's an idea. Ireland is thinking of changing many of it's closed bars into teen clubs. These bans are specifically designed to close bars in a new attempt to legislate morality.

Who cares let them smoke. Nonsmokers do not have to go to the places. Have some smoking places n nonsmoking places. This is the dumbest waste of tax dollars ever. This is pretty much a control issue. It doesn't matter who smokes and who does't. Why don't we close down all fast food restaurants so people can actually cook for families and spend quality time? Or people quit texting while driving or talking on there phones. This is a little more serious. Oh yeah Get some Jobs in ohio so people could actually have some work. Or work on a way for people to save there houses. No thats not important. Let them smoke This is just discrimination that is all it is!

Now that the ban fanatics found gullible lawmakers and got a foot in the door, they'll be raiding your home too. It's just a matter of time as long as these fantics are allowed to overrun the country.

This is the most intrusive of modern day excessive regulation. Owners should be able to decide if they want to allow smoking or not. Smoking and drinking (both legal activities, from which sales the government earns a lot a taxes) go hand in hand. My social life has been negatively impacted by this dumb law. I go a bar where 90% of the patrons are smokers, maybe 95%, and we go outside in hoards like jack a**es to smoke, but it's not the same, smoking without your drink in hand, due to stupid "open container" laws. I do like the bartenders and waitresses smoking in the face of this inspector. I wonder if they had their cigarettes hanging out of their mouths when they spoke with the guy. The bar can do a paper sale to new owners and beat this horse cr** law suite. And they wonder why we have a Tea Party these days.

The bans stretch across Europe. While there are the odd teen clubs I promise you that the numbers of pubs and bars as well as the level of immorality has stayed wonderfully high. The only real difference I've boozed us that the bars aren't smokey an disgusting and more pretty people seem o be coming out at nights because of it.

If they can pay the fines, let them keep violating and paying. Perhaps smokers will line up to help pay some of the fines.

Ridiculous law. Whats next,, Prohibition,, AGAIN? I do not smoke. I feel it is a personal choice. If you are in a bar drinking, then youre already putting your health at risk to begin with. Not to mention public safety when you drive home.

Second hand smoke? This is your complaint? Please! Lets start with all the risks of processed food, over-prescribed prescription drugs, fast food etc etc.

What happened to freedom of choice?
