Such a fricken shame, I feel so bad for this kid. I live on this street and us neighbors have tried to get these animals removed. There are children and development all around. What's sad it's not the owners that get attacked but others. Sam's house was recently in foreclosure so how was he taking care of these animals. The neighbors just talked about this. No one should be owning wild animals like this unless your an animal park. Sam stated on television sometime ago that he did not have insurance. All I am saying is that these animals belong in a zoo or the wild not just leaving in a cage. The bear got loose a long time ago, but Sam has tigers, etc. This should have never happened!!! Prayers to the family.

Bears are meant for the wild. Not to be kept for marketing and bear wrestling is just sick.

this guy has a long history of issues. Cocaine trafficking, a bear got loose a years ago attacked a neighbor. What is our government doing? This poor family.

For goodness sake, leave wild animals alone! They are wild, they are meant to be in the wilderness...just leave them be and this kinda thing will not happen!

It's really not rocket science.

I have known Sam for approximately 30 years and I know he loves his animals. Sam knows there are risks involved in having that type of animal because he himself was attacked several years ago but I also know Sam would never jeopardize someone he thought was not capable of handling them. I hope he can cope with this tragedy because he is a very good man. My heart goes out to the family of the man lost.

I feel very sorry for his family and the bear. The bear was doing what comes naturally as a wild animal, and this poor young man was just doing his job to take care of the bear. Truly a tragedy, my condolences.

This story actually has three tragedies.
1) the man who was killed
2) the bear who will most likely be killed
3) the spelling in some of these comments
