I watch the show and Im looking for a home In SC, thought it looked beautiful in the show. I do know that any movie or show made in a area brings in money, lots of money, and in a recession you should be grateful.

Exatly, I've found that people are not grateful enough for the blessings in their livbes. And I would welcome the Army wives cast and crew to my city. We could use the money here in our commuity.

My wife works as an extra on the show regularly and brings in some extra cash, which the state does tax. It also satisfies her desire to work on set, which she loves. LOTS of locals work on the show in many capacities.

South Carolina has always been envious of the major film industries of her neighbors - NC, GA and FL, but is unwilling to do anything to get it. Everytime they get something going, they screw it up.

It is attitudes like those expressed here that forced half of the "Hollywood" movies you see to shoot in Canada. A loss for the state AND the country.

BTW, my mother wrote her Doctoral dissertation on "The Army Wife." Her 30 years of "experience" as the wife of a bird Colonel inspired her subject. While the army wife's life is certainly different now than it was in the 50's & 60's when I was an "Army Brat," I think the show does a great job of showing what these wonderful women go through to support our troops.

South Carolina should be PROUD to have this show filmed here and should do everything they can to keep it.

I totally agree our economy is hurting and we need to make the money where we can when we can!
Also I was a Army wife for 2 years and I lived in Hinsville, Ga. at Fort Stewart. And it was a lot like the show I worked at a nice resturant there and most of my tips were from Military Personnel.
I loved it there and i like the way people we like family to each other. It helped when you are away from everyone you know.

I am curious; did the show decide not to be affiliated anymore with Charleston, SC since they let their residents take children from their biological parents? If I had anything to do with Army Wives, I certainly would not want anything to do with the baby stealers of Charleston SC

Very astute. We have a history in this state of treating human beings as property. What they did to Dusten Brown is just as immoral and offensive as the evils of the slave trade.
