That dress was inappropiate for a school prom in EVERY sense of the word. I can't imagine why her parents would allow her to even invest in a dress so inappropiate. Prom is almost a rite of passage, and that dress is not setting a positive tone for a young lady.

Of course the dress was inappropriate. This dress was ok with the parent? Just another fine example of how far our morals and values have fallen in this country. But that's all our kids see on tv. Awards shows etc. It's all about me, right!!!!! Good grief!!!!!!

It really doesn't matter if the dress was too skimpy or not if it violated the school's policy then no entry. Sorry .. rules are rules and must be enforced and this should definitely teach her lesson for later on in life. When she gets hired in the real world there are rules and guidelines to follow .. and there are managers, team leads, supervisors, etc. that have to see that these rules and being followed. She just needs to suck it up and admit she was wrong if the policy states so.

Ya think? That dress is not for Prom. Maybe if your going out clubbing but definetly not at only 17 years old and to a dayum prom. Her parents should be ashamed of themselves letting her walk out like that.

Everyone knows what happens after the prom. She was just going to make it easier and faster to get her clothes off.

DEFINATELY too skimpy!!! I personally wouldn't be caught dead in my own home w/ that thing on!!!!! What was that girl thinking!!!! I guess she wasn't...and neither were the parents!! Why would they let her leave home dressed like that???!!!! I guess because they probably don't care about how they dress either, so why should they care about how their child dresses?

I would not concider that a dress. I think parents should be more aware of what the kids are wearing.

I absolutely agree with the schools decision. It's really sad a parent would allow their child to leave the home in that type of attire. A prom is a classy respectful event. Evidently, the mother nor the child has any respect or class . " The apple never falls far from the tree."

YES! It makes no sense for a 17 year old to wear something like that or for her parents to allow it!!
Is she nuts

Yes that dress is way to skimpy for a prom. But if she wanted to walk the streets it would fit in. I cant belive her mother allowed her to wear it out of the house. I have a 18 year old daughter and I would not let her even own a dress like that.

I would not have let her in the prom also. This is a school sponsored event and a dress code should have been in place. I can't believe that her mother let her leave out of the house looking like that.

looks pretty scandalous to me. I'm sure the school told the students ahead of time what would be appropriate.
