Don't have kids if you cannot afford to raise them!!!
I think every parent wanting kids should apply for a permit and stand before a board of 5 county leaders to plead their case to have a child.
China called...they are waiting for you to come live with them...

I'm sure this couple could well afford to raise their children. Unfortunately, healthcare can get really expensive if something goes wrong.

You are out-of-line with your comments.

JESUS!!! KIDS HAVING KIDS!!! Folks, this is why things are *ucked up!
No, things are screwed up because people like you don't READ before jumping onto their keyboards, and cursing. Anger management might help.
The girl said she was 16 and BORN premature, not 16 and HAD a premature baby.
Calm down before you hurt yourself. Actually, never mind...

Ok, that was my quote. I just got a username on here. But obviously you can't read. I'm not a kid having a kid. I said I'm 16 and I was BORN 5 weeks premature. Idiot.

Thanks for the encouraging reply. And I think I have a good head on my shoulders. I'm 16: never had alcohol, done drugs, had sex, or anything like that. And I'm in honors classes at school. But thank you for the nice response. It's nice to know that there are people out there that actually are glad when you do something responsible.

This is such a strange comment. The article was about them struggling because of thier daughters health problems, not because they couldn't handle the number of children they have. There is no way they could have known the problems thier daughter would have before they concieved her. My daughter was born 4 months early last year. Luckily she is alive and doing well, and I am very grateful. But of course I was not prepared for spending time in the hospital myself and for my daughter spending 4 months in the hospital followed by numerous doctors appointments all of which have been very costly. I am handling it fine, but it has been difficult. I feel for the family and I wish them the best.

To answer some of your questions, first, I do not doubt that the people in question are nice people. Nothing personal against them. I and my wife of 27 years have one son. We each came from a family with two children. In this day and age, I can not, for the life of me, understand why any couple needs to have more than two children, which is zero population growth. The roads are overcrowded. Our schools, which our son graduated from years ago, are overcrowded. We have to bear the tax burden of ever more crowded schools and roads and other public facilities because so many people selfishly insist on pumping out more babies than they need to and in most cases, than they can afford. This couple knew they worked in jobs where they had long and odd hours but insisted on painting themselves into a corner anyway in hopes that the rest of the world would help them raise and pay for their children. I do not wish the children any bad and do not wish the couple any bad, but I think such irresponsible reproductive behavior should be called when they choose to be so visible. My wife and I pay increasing taxes for new and larger schools and roads and under our current system which is wrong, people who have more and more children than they should pay fewer taxes. I am not anti family but I do resent this situation.

All my prayers goes out to this loving family! I can relate to their story. My daughter Jasmine, was born 8 weeks premature weighing 2pounds and 15 ounces at birth. The doctor explain all the complications to me and my husband so we can be prepared for the worst! But by the grace of GOD, She came through with only GERD, and was released to go home three weeks later! Keep having faith in GOD, and he will see you through it!He has all power over everything! GOD Bless!!!

Glad to hear that your daughter is doing well. I was 4 pounds when I was born, and some friends of our's baby was a pound and 5 ounces. And we are both healthy.

My comments were not to criticize the couple because of the terrible hardships of their youngest child. Things of this sort can not usually be helped and that was not my intent. My criticism was about people having child after child when they are already struggling. Two or fewer keep things close to zero population growth. People who keep pumping out babies just because they can, contribute to the overcrowding on our highways and schools. It adds to pollution, urban sprawl, and many other negatives of over breeding. Someone asked why I had one child. For the same reasons as anyone does. My wife and I chose to have only one as that was all we could comfortably provide for at the time. We are happy with our decision and with the way he has turned out.
Even though some people can afford a lot of children and have been blessed with the time to give them the love and discipline they need to grow into productive citizens, it is still selfish IMHO, to add to the tax burden on schools, roads, pollution, and other things when we are breeding ourselves beyond our resources.
Also, it is wrong for people who add to these problems to get bigger tax breaks for adding more to the problem.

So is your brand of contraception an ugly attitude or just plain ugly?

Perhaps YOU should apply for permit to continue breathing. I deny the motion!

That's not even her name... you idiot! And I for one do not think she is a suck up. I think it's great that there are kids like her out there willing to stand up for what they believe in. You should take a lesson from her.

You for one are the only one who doesnt see it. Parents usually think their own kid is better than the rest of us though. I might could take a lesson from her but I wanted to skip the kissing up class when they offered it as an elective.

First of all, that isn't even my name. So, I don't know who you think I am. And second, if you think that being a good kid who stays out of trouble is kissing up, then all I have to say is thank you! I fully take that as a compliment!
