If you're so concerned about overpopulation, how about you contact NASA about getting a one-way ticket to Mars?

Prayers for this child's recovery. I'm glad they have such a strong support system.

Have a little bit of respect for others. I happen to know Jamie. God forbid families don't come out perfect. Their daughter could have died. Jesus. Jamie I wish your family well throughout this journey and let me know if you every need anything.

I am a 10th grader at Gilbert High School, and I know what Officer Isphording does, and how he makes our school a safer place to learn at. I was also born 5 weeks premature and I only weighed 4 pounds. I truly wish him and his family the best. He is one of those genuine nice people that you meet, and he doesn't judge any student according to what they look like, how they dress, financial status, etc. So, to hear what the state is doing for him - it really makes me happy because him and his family truly deserve it. They make our community and state a safer place, and people should try and help them as much as possible. So, to Officer Isphording - Thank you for everything you do for our school, and you and your family are in our prayers! Best wishes!

Excuse me? Do you even know what you're talking about? Officer Isphording works at my school, and I know how much he loves the kids there, and how much he loves his own. Obviously you don't have children so you wouldn't understand this. I'm 16 and I was also 5 weeks premature. I know what kind of health problems babies can have, and it's dangerous. I wish him and his family the best, and you need to get your facts straight before you condemn and judge people. You should be ashamed.

To answer some of your questions, first, I do not doubt that the people in question are nice people. Nothing personal against them. I and my wife of 27 years have one son. We each came from a family with two children. In this day and age, I can not, for the life of me, understand why any couple needs to have more than two children, which is zero population growth. The roads are overcrowded. Our schools, which our son graduated from years ago, are overcrowded. We have to bear the tax burden of ever more crowded schools and roads and other public facilities because so many people selfishly insist on pumping out more babies than they need to and in most cases, than they can afford. This couple knew they worked in jobs where they had long and odd hours but insisted on painting themselves into a corner anyway in hopes that the rest of the world would help them raise and pay for their children. I do not wish the children any bad and do not wish the couple any bad, but I think such irresponsible reproductive behavior should be called when they choose to be so visible. My wife and I pay increasing taxes for new and larger schools and roads and under our current system which is wrong, people who have more and more children than they should pay fewer taxes. I am not anti family but I do resent this situation.

While I can (sorta) see your point, is having four kids really so awful? There are couples out there with NO kids, whether they choose that or not. Then there are families, like my dad's, who was one of 17. Yeah, he grew up on a farm, and that was the norm then. So blame the population boom on his generation, not on this family with [only] four children. I only have one, and I intend to keep it that way. So I guess they can have one of my two that you have alloted for families to have. And since you only have one, that makes it even.:)

Nobody "needs" to have children, and I'm sure that when they were blessed with a pregnancy they didn't think to themselves, "I wonder how much money we can get OTHER PEOPLE to give us to help us with this baby?". You seem to look at families as some kind of mathematical equation. So you have one child...do you think that only YOUR taxes paid for his school, the police and other emergency personnel who may have come to assistance, and for the everything else the public enjoys?

If these parents were able-bodied people having kids they couldn't pay for and expecting the general public to pay for their children's upbringing, I could see your point. But BOTH of these parents have jobs, where they put their life on the line every day.

You're complaining about taxes, but what about people with NO children, whose checks have more deductions than someone with the same experience (and degree if applicable)? How fair is that?

Again, if you're so concerned with population growth, why have any children of your own? This is not China with a one child policy. If you're so concerned with the planet do your part and recycle. Besides, population growth has as much to do with people living longer as it does with babies being born. Or do you suggest killing off old people too, so you won't have to pay into Medicare and Social Security?

I have know Marc and Jamie for several years, and think very highly of both of them. Like all parents they love their children and do their very best to take care of them. No parent wants their child to be born with health problems, but that does not mean that Catherine should not be here in this world.

Please understand that people have come to Jamie and Marc to ask what they could do to help and they have been very thankful for all of the help that they have gotten. At no time have they ask, requested or begged help from anyone.

Law enforcement in general is one large family and we will always support our brothers and sisters in blue.

Well I think your parents had 2 too many. What does this have to do with roads. This is about a child who was born premature. You are just a moron. So what if people like to have big families. It should be none of your business.

Thank you Marc and Jamie for all you do for us, my prayers are with you, as you know there will always be people who don't like police and will say mean things , you learn that the first day you wear the badge, if they only knew you than they would know that you would be there for them also if they called for help, we are lucky to have you here in S.C.

Officer Izzy, works at my school, and if you people think that you can judge him by whats happening with his family, you my as well stop, because you don't know jack about officer Izzy. He works very hard to make my school a safe place to be, so we don't have to worry about whats going on around us, and so we can get an education. So you people just need to back off, and get over it. Officer Izzy is a very good officer and a very good father and husband. You may think you know him as well as you think but you don't so back off!!!!!!. Don't judge someone that you think you know, but you really don't.

My God, haven't these people heard of CONTRACEPTION???

Don't have kids if you cannot afford to raise them!!!

I think every parent wanting kids should apply for a permit and stand before a board of 5 county leaders to plead their case to have a child.
