While I am a nudist and do believe in clothing should always be optional, if you are a bible follower after God saw Adam and Eve wearing fig leaves and gave his punishment he then made leather clothes for them

I recall this Vermont guy made mention in many newspapers several years ago-

'Nudity & Christianity'[Paperback] http://www.amazon.com/Nudity-Christianity-Jim...
Jim C. Cunningham considers his latest 588-page work, Nudity & Christianity, to be his "magnum opus." It represents the fruit of thirty years of research, meditation, discussion and many personal experiences. Though much of the material is new, Jim has included the best of his twenty-three years of naturist publishing. Although all of his previous publications (see naturistlife.com ) were highly photographic, this latest is 100% textual, in hopes of reaching those who might be intimidated even by tasteful graphics. The insightful ideas of dozens of authors from various denominations are represented here, from Pope John Paul II to Dietrich Bonhoeffer, C.S. Lewis to Kahlil Gibran and even Mark Twain.

The purpose of this book is to encourage readers to probe the reasons for wearing clothes. Today, Western convention tends to assume that "nude is lewd," but it was not always that way. For half the Church's history, catechumens--men, women, boys and girls, were routinely baptized together, nude, by full immersion. Today, we recoil at learning this, but how have cultural attitudes toward the body changed to effect this reaction?
Jim asks those hard questions about the body and the meaning of true modesty, and exhorts Christians to lead the way in asserting God's definition of the body, rather than Playboy's. Instead of allowing pornographers to define the body for us, and then create a virtue of modesty to fit that false definition, Christians should assert God's definition as found in Scripture and Church Tradition. When we view the body as Jesus did, our definition of modesty becomes radically different from what is conventionally presumed. Two highly detailed indices (Scriptural and Topical) make this an excellent reference book. Readers are exhorted to live what they learn. Jim proposes attending "Theology of the Body Retreats." Man, you seem to know more about me than I do.

So I talk about the excesses of big corporate media hyping sexuality for ratings and I am the bad guy?

Mixing porn and news for ratings...

I realize this comment is dated compared to the other posts, however comma, it's a must say:
ClownMan, you are the example of what gives Christians a bad name. For you to say those verses are out of context simply because they show a lack of relevance of Levitical Law to Today, is a bit disconcerting.
Okay, let us stay on your context (Adam & Eve's clothing):
So prior to the fateful Eve-Apple event, either the nudity was without sin OR God made them in a sinful nature to be corrected by your verse -- meaning the Garden that He made (and therefore He) was not pure. Sorry, my vision of God is that He is the ultimate Good, and that He made a perfect place without sin. Therefore the nudity itself was not the sin, but rather it was the KNOWLEDGE gained that made it the sin. So either you personally cannot rise above your carnal thoughts and enjoy the freedom that He once gave us, or YOU believe that He created a Garden of Sin.
Please don't judge us because of your inability to see God's vision.
Sorry... As I see it.

Eden was perfect without sin since there was no knowlege of good or evil. Once sin was intorduced (eating of the forbidden fruit) thier "eyes were opened" and they realized they were NAKED and ashamed. They hid from God because they were NAKED. God did fashion clothes for them out of animal skins as I stated before. The original statement I responded to was "public nutity should always be allowed, freedom of speach, clothing are man's artificial creation, god never made clothing. ". As in, God never made clothes. Where am I out of context?

BTW, never appologize for speaking the Truth.

It seldom ever gets very warm enough to go to the few clothing optional swimming places here in Vermont and when it does it's veeery buggy, the deer flies and horse flies are quite tenacious. At the lake the anti nudist boaters taunt the nudies and come too close even dangerously nearly hitting swimmers sometimes, and they take pics and post them online, and at the rivers the water is always ice cold and leech infested-you'd hate it here, most out of state nudies who visit never come back.

Love this thread - my two cents... Clothing isn't natural, just a way to stay warm. The reason there are so many people with bad body images (self hate, insecurity, etc.) is it's made into such,a big deal. We all have bodies. No reason to be ashamed. And I agree, I think rape and other forms of sexual deviance would be greatly reduced if everyone went nude regularly.
