Another sad case of a person not knowing how to let go. You cannot FORCE anyone to love or want you, and a bruised ego will hurt much less than losing your freedom (or your life if the police or loved ones of the victim catch up with you first).

Prayers for the loved ones of this woman...so sad.

I had a case like this when I was first seeing my wife (long ago, before we were married). This guy had latched on to her for no apparent reason (she hadn't even dated him!). RO's do nothing for people who are latched on like this. I had to pick her up at her apartment when we were dating as she was too afraid of something like this happening. It went on for a while longer, and I ended up having to 'set him straight'. He did not want me around her, near her, much less dating her and he was not going to stop. We had a 'talk' together and he stopped.

To the young lady, I am so sorry that we failed you as a society. To the family, I am also sorry that we failed to protect your loved one. I will add you all to my long prayer list that I have made from the forums here...so many people need God in their lives now. Here in USA and around the world...

To all obsessive men/women out there: Stating the Obvious is absolutely right. You MUST MOVE ON. Obsessing over someone who does NOT love you, does NOT want you, and WILL NOT be with you is a waste of your lives. Also, the family of the victims of stalking may very well catch up to you, and then you really WILL suffer. It is not worth it!! Find another woman (or man if you have to) who truly loves you. Treat them like an angel from above, and value their lives ABOVE your own. That is how true love works. I would give my life for my wife in a heartbeat, never take her life! Please, if you are stuck on someone and cannot get over them, seek help, not a gun. It will only end badly for you if you continue down a path where no one wants you to be in the first place!! MOVE ON, ALONE IF YOU MUST.

Shame on you. If you can't show respect for the deceased, at least show respect for the family that will more than likely check on these posts. If you don't have something to contribute to the conversation, you need to stay off of TOPIX the way you stay off of the topic here.

This is a shame! When will ex's decide that they are past and let go? These type cases are becoming way to frequent these days.

This kind of mess is just awful. You can't make a person be with you if they don't want you. So the next step for the cowards are for them to either harm or kill the person.

That's the saying for those cowards if I can't have you no one can. They need to just go ahead and kill him.

Did the lady die that was shot? Why did he kill her like that? It doesn't say if she died or not, but why couldn't he just move on instead of killing her. Well I hope she makes it through this

LADIES BEWARE!! There are a lot of psychos out there, that don't believe in (letting go) breaking up. Domestic abuse is a b----. My heartfelt wishes for the family.

Yeah, accept it, cry it out and move on. You will live through it, I did more than once and I am happier now than I've ever been. It was worth the tears I shredded. My prayers are with the family.

Also Women must also be able to notice the signs of a possible fool. Believe me, a man or woman will show you exactly who they are in the beginning of a relationship.

Based on my observations and deductions from news reports of domestic violence and murder, a restraining order oftentimes appears to escalate and exacerbate the stalker's anger and has the opposite effect. I cannot imagine the horror of living this way! The horror of fearing every move you make (victim) AND the horror of living day-to-day hating someone - yes, hating because love does not manifest itself in this way - so intensely, deeply, jealously, and selfishly (perpetrator). Another example of a psychopath, I suppose.

All a restraining order does is make things worse and a lot more dangerous.

This is what you get from the "it's all about me" society we live in. The notion that each once of us has to have everything we want, when we want, is pushed down our throats from the time we are little. Look at the reality show's. It's all about me. Look at our schools. When little Johnny fails it is not his fault but the school system. Nothing that happens to us in this country is our fault, it is always something else. When we live our lives like this for long enough, we start to believe it. Why I am not suprised this is happening more and more. We are spoiled brats.
