Anyone find it odd that they know the exact make, model, and license plate of the car the dead man was driving the day before he died, but not his name?

Is it possible that they are waiting on the next of kin notification before releasing his name?

Geez, people! The article said the man was seen drving the vehicle Monday. Obviously, somebody from the neighborhood recognized him. The registration may have been in a woman's name, therefore, it may not have even been his car. What does it matter anyway about them knowing information on the car and not him? The comments some of you make are absurd and don't relate to the story at all. We should just pray for this fellow human being's family now and not worry about trivial stuff.

It is such callous responses like this that give rednecks a bad name. You think you are so much better than this man? Your response indicates you are so much less than this man!
Maybe we should ship ignorant bleeding hearts like you back with him.

I am not joking about my physical size. I don't usually push my weight around or bully anyone, that is not my style, but Lugoff keeps making these idle threats about my existence here. Well, I would really like to see him intimidate me enough to move. I live where I want and that is that. If he is big enough and bad enough to make me move, then I say quit running your mouth and make me move. I don't start anything, but I don't take sh1t from anyone either.

That was Fairview the next community up from Pelion. His name was Wise, You are right it was a local "drug bust"
as was the town cop in Leesville who was also shot by a LCSD deputy. Norman Starnes who is now in prison for murder was operating an International Drug running operation using his own landing strip. The two men he killed were pilots who flew in and out to South America. NONE OF THIS WAS PART OF HIS MURDER Trial. Seems as if Metts did not want the "Feds" investigating this case! Normans car was equipted with a police radio.
The first lead detective on his case was once engaged to Norman's sister! He, according to "sources who would know" was a frequent vistor to Norman's landing strip. It took the owners who rented the building to Norman, months to get Lexington County to search the building. Then they did not take any of the many gory and suspicious items! Metts refused to talk or meet with the owners to discuss the matter even though they made numerous calls and personal visits to LCSD for that purpose. Both Sled and the FBI refused to get envolved.
Now all these years later, Pelionians are helpless and the drug traffic booms!

I would like to broker the fight between IGOR & Lugoff. Gloves on, bare knuckles, pistols, knives, chainsaws, it makes no difference.

Two men enter, one man leaves.

Tickets are $1.00 each and we will use 100% of the proceeds to send this fine young Mexican citizen back home for a proper burial amongst his people.

Thanks for clearing this up. I'm glad you bought up Norman Starnes. I was shocked when I heard two have been charged in the Lisa Rucker case since Starnes had already taken credit of killing her.

darn...sounds like you know...definately some good reading between the lines...
Pelion keeps a bad rap, a shame too. Like most small towns, the few bad overshadows all the good.
