Good one! I agree, most fatal accidents do involve someone getting killed. This is as good as a headline a couple of months back about the human remains being from a deceased male!

I can see at least three possibilities: drunk &/or stoned, sudden onset of a medical condition that left him completely confused and disoriented, or suicide by vehicle.

Maybe he had a heat stroke and became disoriented. If he had been walking for a while maybe the heat from the sun, and the concrete reflecting heat, caused him to pass out into the road.

He was breaking the law by using Interstate as a walk way in a nonemergency, wasn't he??? What do you expect to happen?

IGOR was quoting htman1 from the article about the child drowning in reference to the nasty comment htman1 posted on this article. It shows a definite inconsistency in htman1's comments from one article to another, something like 1/2 devil, 1/2 do-gooder.... htman1 appears to be a troll, or some kid looking to get a rise out of someone!

Puff & ClownMan, you're both right, it could have been a heat stroke (or some other medical problem), but he was breaking the law by walking along the interstate to begin with, therefore endangering motorists...he could have caused a major wreck possibly resulting in more fatalities!

I agree with your comments. He should not have been in the road. I just wonder if he was sick for some reason and ended up on I-126, somehow.

Who knows? Crazy things happen everyday. I'm almost afraid to read the paper, or watch the news, but I can't help it, I'm a news junkie.(Ha)!

I know what you mean! I guess I'm a news junkie, too! There are all types of medical problems that could have played a part in this...I wonder if they'll do an autopsy. He may have been mentally ill and suffering from a psychotic episode. Maybe more information will follow...

I am totally in disbelief that people such as some you %^$#@* idiots out there would make comments as cold, callous and ignorant about the loss of anyone's life. I agree that the person should have probably not have been out there but to say something like 1 down 5 million to go in this day and age means we still have one too many rednecks out there with a compter and too much time on their hands. Did anyone ever stop to think about the person who hit the pedestrian and how what that person is going through now? It could have been anyone of us.

Listen, I hate to hear that this man lost his life. My thoughts go to his family.

I also cannot even to begin to imagine what the driver that hit this man is going through. This is something he/she will have to live with everyday. In an instant, something horrible like this could happen to anyone. My opinion is that this was an accident and that the driver won't face charges for something that could not be avoided.

Everytime I get into a car, it crosses my mind that I could unintentionally be the cause of an accident that would cause someone to get hurt. I am also very afraid of some of the people on the highways who may unintentionally cause an accident that could hurt, or kill me.
